Wonderful charming hotel in an excellent location. This is our second stay and have enjoyed our time here.

Hotel Viking was a perfect fit for us. Newport is a quaint little town and we loved being able to retire to a well appointed room at the end of our long day of driving. Wonderful service from all staff, especially the valet and bellhop guys. The room was very well decorated. Beautiful and unique. We stayed on the fourth floor and the ceilings were so tall! Top floor is the way to go! Our only issue was that the mattress was not comfortable and our sleep was impacted due to it being hard and very squeeky. Any turning over was loud and disruptive to your bedmate. Other than that, we were thrilled.

Good visit. Great location. Friendly staff. Would stay here again.

We stayed at the Hotel Viking for the first leg of our honeymoon and we really enjoyed it. When they heard it was our honeymoon, they offered a free upgrade, and that was lovely. Our suite was huge! The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.

Several years I have been going to Newport for the Mansion tours and this year we has decided to go for the Christmas decorations. We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience.

I think having squirt bath wash is not a good idea...I prefer soap.

Great price, but you end up paying for parking and then eating there cuz the food and wine is delicious so it all add up !

Nice hotel that is a short walk to Thames St which has great restaurants and shopping. Great staff and excellent food. We stayed in an Estate room which is an older style room but it's cozy. Overall an excellent experience.

This is a beautiful and very well maintained hotel in the heart of the mansions and Thames Street district, with easy access to everything. The rooftop bar is fun with good views. The breakfast was very tasty (recommend: crab cake eggs benedict). It is an older, rambling building so there are some unexpected stairways. The elevators we used were in high use and cramped (and slow). During busy seasons/days, leave time at check-out for valet return of car and getting out of the drive; again, it is an older building on an old street. The pool/spa area is very nice. Good for families and romantic getaways. Highly recommended.

great stay hotel has a great location walk to all places down town tennis hall of fame cliff walk great way to stay in shape we stay there again if you want a great place to stay this is the hotel

cozy and comfortable. I loved the detail inside of the building.

Reasonably priced in a good location. Service was very good. Room was clean and comfortable.

Hotel exceeded our expectations. We visited the mansions in Newport. Both the dinner and breakfast at the hotel were great.

I traveled to Newport because I had read about the town in a recent book I read. I also needed a respite from my routine and a time to relax and rejuvenate. Newport was lovely and I really enjoyed my time there. Hotel Viking was truly a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. All staff were polite, helpful and accomodating throughout my entire stay. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good. It looked wonderful, tasted great and priced accordingly. I will return!

Very pretty hotel, nice rooms .. Shower floor could be updated, but all in all very nice. Only real complaint was one of the air conditioners in the room was very noisy. It woke us up several times throughout the night. Would def return .. But pls fix that AC in room 210 !!!! Staff friendly and helpful..

Staff was very nice and helpful with itinerary suggestions. Hotel is about a 7 minute walk from the main piers with the bars/restaurants. Hotel has a nice roof top bar too!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was lovely. We were never bothered by housekeeping, and they managed to get in and clean when we were only away for 4 hours. Very appreciated.

Classic Newport hotel. Holdover from the gilded age. Clean. Great staff without fail.

Excellent location. Parking was expensive, and my booking didn't include parking or a service fee charge.

Hotel is beautiful. Stayed overnight with two kids. Walking distance to shops and restaurants, but a bit further to the wharf attractions. Room was very nice, beautiful decor. Set up was odd because of age of hotel. Hotel pool was very musty and moldy smelling.
