Property was recently updated but our room had a always view of the inside of the hotel, as in people walking right by. Also the shower was filthy and clogged

We paid for a water view but it was somewhat obstructed. You need to be on the 6th floor or higher to have an unobstructed view.

Constructing outside of the hotel, towels are poor condition, this should not rated 4 star hotel. I would not book again or recommend this hotel .

The bed was very comfortable. However there was a rust flaking problem in the bathroom sink and too many parking fees.

I was given a room where the only window was interior to the building and looked out onto the elevators. Very suffocating.

Wasnt fear No free parking, too many fees. I think that if youre paying a place to stay ,it must provide at least a place to park your car.

Beautiful hotel with unique layout, amazing rooms with great views! Room service food was amazing as well as the hotel restaurant and bar. Convenient location and an amazing hotel spa.

During a crisis situation in Newport, RI in which over 7000 residents were left without heat (and 20* weather), the Marriot became one fo the few hotels in town that could offer refuge to residents. Despite a flood of unexpected, displaced guests, this hotel dug deep to provide we "refugees" with accommodations, food, comfort and kindness. The staff was resilient, patient, caring and helpful. They were overworked, overwhelmed and understaffed yet their concern for their guests never failed. Well done, Marriot and a great big THANK YOU.

Beautiful property. Excellent gym facility. Ordered room service-food was inedible. Overall great hotel experience but I would steer clear of the food.

The Marriot is in a great location across from the Brick Marketplace, and just a short walk from the rest of Thames Street and Bowen's Wharf. The rooms are comfortable, and the nautical/sailing theme really fits the Newport vibe. My only complaint was that the "view" from my room's window was the elevator. Not only that, the window is not mirrored on the other side - meaning everyone getting off the elevator could see in our room unless the shades are closed at all times.

Overall, this was a great choice. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. The decor was beautiful and modern. The room was clean, the inside balcony was a bonus. However, my only negative was the room was a little tight in terms of space to move around for 3 people. Otherwise, great location, walkable to restaurants, shops, the wharf. Loved the spa, everyone was amazing.

When we arrived we were able to check in early. Thank you for being so accommodating. The room was great and we even had a view which I wasn't expecting!! Bedding was wonderful and my husband especially loved the robes. We will be back. Thanks for everything!

Unfortunately, we happened to be booked at the same time as a youth Hockey tournament or something, but the short of it was many kids, up late, making all kinds of noise in the halls and rooms, and parents just as bad; never mind correcting them or teaching them about consideration for others trying to sleep after 11pm. We didn't trouble the hotel with this sad affair, for everything else was outstanding. Just ask if there are any events for youth going on and get booked to the other side of the hotel.

I had several special requests for the staff during our stay (removal of feather pillows and duvet; more tea for the Keurig; items left in closet after checkout). All off the requests were resolved promptly and pleasant staff members,

We absolutely loved this hotel, everything was gorgeous and the staff was incredibly friendly.

Thank you for sharing your recent experience. We apologize that you were disappointed by the parking that was offered. Our hotel offers guests the option of valet parking for a daily fee. Guests can also choose to self-park at the Gateway Visitor Center located next to the hotel. This parking lot is free from November to April, and operates on a pay-as-you-go fee structure from May to October.
