McCarren Hotel & Pool4.0 out of 5.0

We stayed at the McCarren for my sister's wedding. The hotel was in an awesome location, and I got to walk around Williamsburg with ease throughout the weekend. The pool was an especially nice perk - it felt like a pool scene in Miami or Los Angeles, with cool music and good food and drinks, in an awesome setting with others lounging and enjoying the day. It felt like the new Brooklyn! We also had great service from Martin, who was SO helpful and understood the importance of the weekend for us. He made about six trips with all the items for my sister's wedding to her hotel room, all with an extremely kind demeanor, and recommended that we use the pool and enjoy the day our last day there. I would recommend McCarren for a true Brooklyn experience!
We had a nice time at the hotel - we arrived early and they had a room ready shortly after and let us check in early. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed. The lobby and pool area were nice. Service was great from check-in to check-out along with the staff providing the excellent breakfast. Martin was friendly and helped us out with our bags. I'd stay here again.
I stayed at the McCarren Thursday through Sunday and it was close to the subway as well as several exciting restaurants and bars. Martin and Jessica were super helpful with recommendations and making our stay fun and easy. I will definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed a great 4 day stay at the McCarren - the hotel is in a fantastic location, has decent sized rooms, a pool, roof bar and great staff! Martin and Jessica were standout on our trip - going out of their way to make our stay relaxed and enjoyable. It's my second stay in the area and we will definitely be back - hopefully for a bit longer next time. All the great bars and restaurants Williamsburg has to offer are within a few minutes walk from the hotel, Bedford Ave subway is 5 mins walk away and the ferry to Wall St is 10 mins walk. Highly recommended!
Stayed in a double room with our daughter for 2 nights. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. Attentive & friendly staff, comfy beds, wonderful pool and lounge area, fabulous location--bars, coffee shops, restaurants, subway all within walking distance. Quiet, clean, hip, trendy. I've stayed in Tribeca and Chelsea but this is my first time staying in Brooklyn. My only regret is that we didn't stay long enough. We will be back.
I travel a lot with business/vacation, and I found that this hotel is one of the best hotel I have stayed, with the friendly and care service from the front desk, James and Brian, especially with James, he would go extra mile to help your needs. My flight came in very late at night on Sep. 5, 2017, I called the hotel spoke to James and he called a car to pick me up and if I got lost in town all I have to do is call and he will make sure I get back to the hotel safely since it was my first time visit New York , I stayed 4 nights. The room is clean and staff are friendly, if I visit New York city again I will stay at this hotel. Also the hotel is in a good location, across from McCarren Park with restaurants around and a few blocks to the Subway..
My wife book this hotel for our Anniversary it was a great choice room was amazing the, pool is well clean, the food was great the staff was on point, Martin, thanks you for a great experience the way he takes care of us you can tell he is well experience in his work keep on doing a great job Martin. We'll be back for sure 😍😍😍😍🎉🎉.
We had a wonderful day, evening and wake up at the McCarren in Brooklyn. The lobby, pool, and rooftop bar and views was just what us girls needed for an escape. Thank you to Martin and James's attention to detail- they took care of us so we can effortlessly enjoy ourselves without lifting a finger. Parking was an ease ( a garage was just next door) the dining, music, and other attractions gave us many options. The croissants and morning yummies got us going to enjoy the rest of New York.
My wife and I recently stayed at the hotel and we're disappointed not only in the service, the amenities and also the attitude of staff. The entry light to our room did not work and shower seem to be falling apart with taps being held together with a large screw. A staff member had some sort of meltdown and smashed the front door while we were there and the staff constantly swore and cursed about how overworked they were. For the over inflated prices there are much better hotels in the area. When we mentioned our issues to staff they were ignored as if the staff had no care at all.
Arrived for fun, friends and Pool! When I arrived I noticed the Hotel was being renovated. I was not made aware of this when I booked and the rooftop didn't have food available and the restaurant downstairs was being renovated too. So. MARTIN introduced himself and saw that I was a bit agitated. He quickly resolved the issue by apologizing and upgraded our room. We were also supposed to get "The Summer booking package", where a bottle of Preseco, a gift bag and breakfast were included in the package. Due to the renovations and limited staff, this was not provided upon arrival. Martin said a manager will resolve all the issues the next day. Labor Day! Jessica was truly amazing and Martin also followed up to make sure we were happy. Martin made our stay an amazing experience and his customer service and his attentiveness made the it all worthwhile. The staff at this hotel is Paramount!! Make sure you ask for Martin when you decide to stay or dine at the Mccarren!! I am definitely coming back!!
