The rooms are small but practical. Great location to the city. Not too many places to eat near by. The hotel is completely safe but the neighborhood is still in the process of being re-vamped so its a little sketchy at night but not inside the motel gates. I paid 175 bucks a night because a big game was in town definitely not worth that. $100 or less is good.. not a bad place though just small

Hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport and New Orleans. It’s smack in the middle. Place was super clean and super nice. There is no front desk or hotel staff. It’s a self check in (they give you a code to get in your room). But we had no issues. Easy, clean, and would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is online only reservations and self check in, which I thought was fantastic...until it wasn’t due to not receiving a communication from them for a separate security deposit before the codes would work. I have no argument on needing to do the deposit just like you would any other hotel, however, the lack of communication to provide this unknown required separate payment was a bit frustrating. Overall the staff was wonderful at assisting (thankfully I checked in when staff was available since they’re only here a few hours each day), the room was simple but unique, the no door key card and gated parking area was great!

I highly recommend the Ben Louie. Clean, quiet, and everything was in good working order. It doesn't have some of the frills other hotels have (gym, 24-hour staff, bar, et cetera) but as a consequence the price is very reasonable. It is just a few minutes walk to some nice dining/drinking options (Finn McCool's, Twelve Mile Limit, Namese) and just a tad further is the Canal Street trolley line. City Park and French Quarter are short rides from there. If you're staying more than five days you have the option of having a cleaning crew come in and tidy up. Thanks Ben Louie!

It Was awesome! It Was clean, Very good localization.

The main reason we picked The Ben Louie for our stay, was that in addition to the excellent price, there is free, secure, self-serve parking. Judging from other possibilities, this is a real plus. Access to the hotel from I-10 was easy enough, and getting to the French Quarter and downtown areas is fairly direct on Tulane. Taxi and city bus are also possibilities, but we chose to drive our car. The manager suggested "Treo" for a nearby place to have dinner, and we found it to be good. Another place within walking distance is "Namese". Both were casual and reasonably priced. Both the site manager and housekeeper were extremely helpful. We would definitely consider staying at the Ben Louie again and recommend it to others..

Seamless check in, room was as advertised. Overall a good place to stay. The area appears to be a little concerning but we moved around without any incident . Bus route with reliable service runs pass the motel and a $12 cab fare to nearby restaurants

The Ben Louie is located about 3.68 miles from the French Quarters. The Ben Louie Hotel was renovated a year ago, wonderful improvements. Our room had a king size bed that was comfortable, nice fridge, the decor in our room was beautiful and inviting. Very clean. Large screen tv mounted on the wall for your viewing pleasure. Gated hotel. You need a code to get into your room ( no hotel card needed), parking is available. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

The outside isn’t near as amazing as the inside! The room was super comfy, very spacious, clean, & overall just perfect. Most of the time you’ll see pictures that don’t match what you’re getting into but not here..it was a perfect place for my weekend getaway.

This room was ultra clean and very comfortable . The bed was awesome . I can't believe the rates were so low . The only complaint is I needed a bigger trash can . They only had 2 tiny ones in the room . Awesome room . I will be staying there again .Just a side note there is no staff onsite

No ice machine, parking lot was very small and tight, not a good location as far as safe walking and no stores, gas stations if carry out available. No room phones or staff on board. Room was nice and clean ...it was ok for a one night stay but wouldn't suggest it for longer.

The ben louie is a very nice hotel an $8 ride to bourbon st. Don't let the neighborhood scare you it might be a little sketchy but with the gated parking lot we always felt safe we would definitely stay here again
