I was so charmed and frankly overjoyed with this calmly beautiful and artsy antique styled boutique hotel. The staff was so helpful and laidback when i was frazzled and forgetful from travel stress. Located a half block away from my favorite music venue: Frenchman Street, I could pop over and stumble back for a nap with ease. Right next door was the Louisiana Music factory, a record store where local bands happened to be performing all day when i was there. There was also a health food stocked bodega on the same block. Ive stayed in two different rooms and each had buttery wood floors and cozy yet sophisticated style. I will undoubtedly return.

The rooms make you feel like you’re in a motel, with not great privacy, linoleum floors, and fluorescent lighting. But the amenities (cold water to fill up with, a nice pool, plenty of pool towels) are nice and the location is great to enjoy Frenchman street as well as the river walk, French quarter bars and restaurants, etc. Also, every staff member was truly so nice to interact and chat with. And being able to leave your bags the day you arrive /depart is super helpful. The one other negative is just that Frenchman st. Smells horrible in the morning, so you’re not going to have the nicest walk to go get a coffee and such.
