Great experience. Convienent within walking distance to everything I needed.

Great staff, location and hotel but the strip club and vagrant presence made it inappropriate for kids. I had a 10yr old daughter with me. The pool in the afternoon had lots of loud teens drinking and smoking but odd enough at night there were only families in the pool. Pool area was a little run down and pool looked a little dirty. But again I did like the hotel and would recommend to people without kids.

This hotel was nice but the area it is located in is not very nice

We stayed at this hotel on New Year's Eve because we were attending a party on Washington. We basically only stayed there because of the location. We knew that this area was very busy/popular, so we put our $ towards the hotel instead of dealing with traffic, awful parking, and very costly cab rides. I am VERY happy that we made that choice. With that said: this is not a typical Marriott property. Most of the small bldgs in South Beach are very old with thin walls, so any of the small hotels that you pick will likely be noisy. The room was very small and had no view. It was literally just ok. We were at the Doubletree on Biscayne Bay the day before & the quality dipped significantly (but the Courtyard location was 100% better). This hotel IS NOT on the beach. You will either have a street view or a "tree view". This hotel is on a strip (shops, restaurants) two streets away from Ocean Drive & 1 street away from Collins (but a VERY short walk to both). No need to try to park on your own. Parking is awful in that area. You will likely get towed if you try to park overnight on your own. Use valet, which was $28 (very normal for Miami). We had to wait for the valet guy to show up. The hotel is on a busy street, so you literally have to just pull up & hope that the valet guy is out there. If not, you will have to circle back around because you will be blocking very active traffic and you will honked at repeatedly. Someone may want to hop out of the car & track down valet if they are not out there. Service was pretty good; I just feel like we paid an arm and a leg because of the location. Again, the 1st hotel that we stayed at was 55% less in price than the Courtyard, but we paid the $ so that we could walk to our party safely; etc. If you are going for the same reasons that we did, then I would stay there.

For the price, this hotel is very decent. It's very basic but if you not a "hotel junkie" and are in Miami to appreciate things outside of the hotel room, want something basic and do not require a full-service hotel stay, this hotel will do the trick. The location is very good. There are restaurants and things to do all around and it's only a few blocks from the very nice hotels and the beach. There is a nightclub next door but we never heard it.

This was a last minute trip after thanksgiving and the location was great. Is about 3 blocks away from the beach and a about 3 blocks away from the outdoor mall. The hotel seemed a little dated but clean and with a great staff. The bed was hard for my liking but hood for my husband. The valet guy was quick to tell us how close we were to everthing and also recommended off site parking. Although our neighbors were loud two nihhts for hours around 4am to the point I had to complain to the front desk but they had checked out that morning. The manager apologized and comp our breakfast. Although the breakfast was not great and you can get a better breakfast down the street at Ciao Bella!.

Had a great experience! Hotel was clean and beds were comfortable! The pool was Beautiful all that was missing was a swim up bar!

For the price and service that I received, this was a great value. The staff was exceedingly helpful and friendly. The Valet service was responsive and prompt. I didn't get the chance to do a lot of sight seeing, but it also seems like a fun area to be in. Great restaurants just a block away. The only trouble I had was finding it at first; I had to go around the block once more to make sure I was in the right place.

Me and my girlfriend went to south beach to relax and enjoy. Checked in at the Marriot very late (aftr midnite). The staff was very courtious and helpful. The only complain I had was we were given a very small room in the corner that was stuffy and smelled like smoke! We immediately went downstairs and had our room changed. Our new room was much bigger and so much better... There was no smoke smell... I wonder why they did that to us!!! The rest of the trip was excellent... Overall the hotel staff and the location of the hotel was real good. I would definetly go back to South Beach and stay at this hotel.

Hotel is typical Courtyard experience as far as the rooms and services. It is located in an "interesting" neighborhood n South Beach. Across the street is a theatre that is not for family movies and there are eclectic people and businesses all around. I guess that is South Beach! The beach is an easy 2 block walk and there are all kinds of eating places within walking distance. Front desk staff were helpful ([...]is the day manager and is very nice).

The hotel was satisfactory and pretty much what you'd expect from a Courtyard. Staff were all friendly and helpful with the exception of one receptionist, who was both incompetent and rude. Location was very convenient and we enjoyed our stay. There is a strip club over the road and it gets rowdy in the evenings- ok for couples, but not for young kids.

The hotel was in a good location. On arrival I was told at 2:15 that check in time was 3 pm and that I could be put on a "list" to check in early but that it would not be before 3 PM. Checkout time is at 11 and I was called at 10:45 to tell me that checkout time was 11 and I had until 11:15 to check out or a half day rate would be added to my bill. (I was planning to check out at 11). Could not help me with shuttle info to Ft Lauderdale airport. Rude staff, unhelpful.

First trip in long time, hotel was nice and staff were also.Rooms a little on the small side but not bad for price. It was a good idea not to be on Ocean dr,as the action never stops. We would definitely recommend the Courtyard to anyone and may stay again next year, have fun

Great location! Close to Beaches and Nightclubs. Service was great

Hotel itself was nice, but there seemed to be a lack of staff especially at the main desk. On several occasions I tried to reach the hotel staff for towels, area questions, and/or to check on valet parking and the phone just rung and rung. Staff was very friendly, but when you have a question in a foreign environment a dependable staff will always be remembered and appreciated; and a lack of that can also leave a damaging impression! Outside of that things were nice and I would recommend the hotel after seeing the other options in Miami. The location was perfect!

Valet parking is $25 a day with an additional $1.70 per day state tax on that also. Just a heads up.

The Cortyard Mariott was a nice hotel and it had a very friendly staff.. the staff was sooo nice and very elpful the hotel had a very pleasant smell and the rooms were clean... However i dont think the price per night was worth it.. the facility was not up to date.. however i had a good stay.. My overall rating is good hotel..

the hotel has great location within walking distance from the strip nice rooftop pool only thing the gym was closed my whole trip.

The Courtyard by Marriott Miami Beach/South Beach Hotel is in a great center location for South Beach, Great Staff. Also the pool in the roof with a view was a great time for relaxing! Overall it was a great option for the money and location.
