The room was nice and updated. The bathroom was very small. The staff was rude and brrakfast was late. We waited for 30 mins for them to put everything out and they never did. I gave up and left. We found whatblooked like a bed bug. I called down stairs to report it and the guy who picked up the phone was so rude when i asked for a manager. He said" I dont even know who you are" i said "excuse me?" He then realized i was calling from inside the room and then transferred me.. We tried to eat in their cafe, but waited 15 mins and no one ever came to take our order, so we left. It was just very disappointing and throw in the bug that they basically did not give a crap about, we left and went somewhere else.

Wasn’t sure if we were under the water boil mandate, and zero communication from staff on if that was the case (would have been nice to know…). Had to run to the store to get bottled water for us and our dog. One working elevator that was often times packed with people so you’d have to wait a round or two in under to use it. Housekeeping was lack luster (was missing soap/shampoo). Lobby looks beautiful though and their breakfast was nice. Gym equipment definitely needs maintenance done. Place needs better maintenance and contingency planning overall.

Room situation was not good. I wasn’t sure there was a room even I reserved it. Another person trying to check in had the same problem. Was issued a key to a room that was occupied! Staff seemed confused. When we finally got a room, it was nice enough.

I love that the rooms all come with sitting areas, kitchenette, desk for work, and good bathrooms. Good value for price.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel - I usually stay at a nearby place when I come to Memphis but it was sold out - this Hyatt Place was comparable price and a bit nicer than where I usually stay.
