We were there for a week. Plenty of food options for kids and adults. Tried Mexican restaurant and Asian restaurant. We thought the Mexican restaurant was better, more authentic flavor. Went to bed too early to see any shows. Beach had lots of sea shells. We did swim in the ocean a couple times but kids liked the pools better. This was our second time here.

The safe didn't work, there was a fire alarm at 1:30 am, there were kids and teenagers running in the hallways at late hours, the toilet broke, maid took our plastic bags we use for dirty clothes, we checked out 1 week early and couldn't get a refund, parties at the pool area late into the night, hard to navigate hallways, property map is bad, We will post anumber of complaint reports.

Rooms smell musty and mildewy. The food is excellent and the staff are amazing. For a 5 star resort I was disappointed that they didn’t have Don Julio tequila.

I ended up with food poisoning the 3rd day we were there. Not the first time I've had a bad reaction to spinach, so very familiar with what it feels like. We never left the property, which was really nice. The beach was great. Weather was really mild for January. Would possibly stay again, but avoid raw foods.

We enjoyed our recent stay at Riu, staff were great to deal with, food was great. I know it says the drinks in the room are restocked every 2 days, but had to request water bottles because no one re stocked the fridge.
