I would say most things in the hotel are adequate. First the good. The ocean had the warmest water I have ever experienced. The pools are good too. Great kids pool with lots to do. The staff is pretty courteous especially when you tip. What is not good is that you only get one set of towels a day. So if you want a set of fresh ones because you want to take an afternoon break from the sun, sorry. The rooms are pretty clean except for the occasional mold on light switches and shower curtains. In our room the remote control didn't work. We had to ask twice to have it exchanged. The towels feel like a sandpaper (which is an issue if you forgot to reapply sunscreen). All the reviews about the elevators being slow is 100% correct. Many times we had to take the stairs. My biggest issue was the food. I have stayed in many all inclusive resorts and 2 other Riu. I have never complained about the food. There are 2 buffets both have almost the same thing. Both disappointing. Several stations serve the same thing for both dinner and breakfast. Food is bland and sloppy. The restaurants that need reservations are decent but super hard to get into. I would not stay here again.

10 minutes wait every time for elevators , same food in all restaurant , not a good hotel to recommend to anyone at all .

Bad location but good hotel Far from where all the activities are

Sorprise everything been so good But have a different rules like only one toalla a day for client servibar fill every two days??

i loved my stayed at the RIU, the staff is super friendly, and the everything is so clean.

Our stay was great, everything went great, food & drinks plentiful at all times. Beautiful resort, the only drawback was there were way too many people & the elevators were very slow. If you wanted a lounge chair by the pools you had to get up early & secure a spot by 7:00 am. The Mexican nationals tend to be very rude & demanding. they constantly cut in front of you in line & expect to be served first regardless of who's in line. I'm Hispanic & come from Mexican descendants & have never seen such rudeness by the upper class, snobby nationals. Other than that the staff, waiters & maintenance personnel were very friendly. The nightly shows need improvement. I will probably go back some day to this resort in near future & hope that the upper class locals treat tourist with a little more respect. E.F. Honeymoon suite is great. Awesome views and very comfy. Mini bar and room service is great. Would come back anytime

Its a wonderful resort. All inclusive. 3 adults pools. 1 for kids. 5 bars with excelent cocktails. Food everytime. Theather. Shows music its nice.

Horrible place to stay! No hot water until last day of stay. Hundreds of children everywhere. Was an all- inclusive but I wouldn't feed my dog the food they served. Staff was rude but I think that was because we were the ONLY Amerucans there. Only thee rusty elevators for 800 room resort. Be carful of good deals - we only ate there twice it was so bad.

Wonderful vacation for reasonable price. Exelent hotel, good food, nice beach!

It was a nice trip, had a great time there, friendly, cool, enjoyed,

VERY NICE RESORT .. GREAT LOCATION .. AS WITH MOST AI'S, MOST MEALS ARE BUFFET .. GOOD FOR FAMILIES .. GETS A BIT OLD FOR SINGLES, COUPLES..

very good for all family the room it was ok , but not have nobody for take care babes

OK , almost 4 stars. Elevators are a serious problem. Too many service calls for plumbing and ac issues.Otherwise, great staff and good experience.

This resort is out of the city a bit beyond all of the other resorts, however it is easy to catch a taxi and head into town. The staff is very helpful and hard working , the place is always spotless. We loved the fridge being stocked with pop and water besides the usual beer. The restaurants are ok, the asian was our favorite and the buffets have a huge selection.

The hotel staff were great. The elevators were very slow and the food became very repetitive... But overall very good place for the money spent.

Excellent hotel location. At the end of a strip of hotels, a few minutes walk to a small town with a great ex-pat coffee shop and massage place. Great fun, great service. This isn't a top of the line 5-star, but it's a VERY CLOSE. Food is okay, but the vibe is great. I love that they did a great job of keeping kids out of the adult's only pool. Was a nice touch. We're heading back this year to the same place. It was comfortable, welcoming, and warm. What else can you ask for?!

Monday through Friday afternoon was perfect. Not crowded, staff was exceptionally helpful, polite, respectful, and generous. Friday afternoon lots of buses arrived. Lunch and dinner on Friday were much more crowded. Still not unbearable though, just not what it had been. Make sure to make any dinner reservations by Thursday morning if you're going to make them for Thursday through sat at the themed resturants because if you don't have a resevation they will turn you away which we saw happen. However this made the environment for those who made reservations very nice. Don't pay extra for an ocean view room. They are all ocean view rooms. There are only 3 elevators and each with a weight limit. Again this was really a problem until friday though. Overall fantastic stay! I would go back in a heartbeat!

The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the food is great as well as nice rooms. The elevators are slow during the weekend peak days, but not bad during the week. Had a great vacation
