Great location, at the golden zone, surrounded by art crafts shops, restaurants, bars, etc. You are about 10 minutes of walking distance from "el malecon". During weekends you will have to wait 10-15 minutes in order to take a picture of the representative "Mazatlan letters" just at the beginning of the avenue.
I have stayed in Mazatlan many times and anyone who goes there should not expect that it's the same as going to Boise. Having said that, running a hotel is all about taking care of the little things, and most Mazatlan hotels don't do a great job of that. This hotel is consistent with the standards of a good Holiday Inn in the USA. Everything seems to work. The water is hooked up correctly and the TV turns on and the door keys open the locks and the restaurant is open during the posted hours. For this trip, I found that to be very pleasant.
This hotel is in a perfect location in the hotel zone, close to shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean and modern and face the ocean. The pool area is beautiful. The front desk and concierge staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
We stayed 4 nights in March 2019. The hotel is new and modern, all rooms have full ocean view. The location is in the middle of the Zone Dorada, many restaurants and bars within walking distance, including the famous Pancho's with its monster margaritas. There are some construction work around the hotel but did not bother us. Cannot get any closer to ocean, 5ft in high and 50ft in low tide. The pool is not very large, may be crowded in high occupancy. The swimming in the ocean is terrific, the moderate surf may frighten some. All services and anemities are top notch, the breakfast is very good, we loved the selection of tropical fruit. The rooftop bar could have some wind barrier, watching the sunset would be more enjoyable. The historical center is 10min taxi/pulmonia ride away, costing 70-100 pesos. Local bus is only 11 pesos.
The hotel is nice. We host a bussines metting and the personal was very kind and wil say the best of this hotel. The locatión is also great in zona Dorada of mazatlan and the beach is very nice becuase you can get in the ocean in that part of the beach because the water is very calm. the sunsets are incredible and the food is also nice. The rooms could be beter for my point of view but they are clean. Saludos,
We were a large group of adults and teens with three room reservations. The suites were extremely spacious, more than we could use. The one regular sized room was fine for 3-4 teens to hang out in. The service was friendly all around. We especially enjoyed the lifeguard and activities people at the pool who made sure the kids stayed safe and entertained while the adults walked on the beach. There is a Starbucks on the first floor, and service was quick each morning. The location is great, as it is close to shops and restaurants. We would stay here again if we return to Maza.
We spent a week in Mazatlan in December and were surprised by the great accommodations and the friendliness of the staff at the Holiday Inn. We had a suite room that provided views of both the city on one side and the Pacific Ocean and a beautiful island on the other. The suite included a refrigerator and sitting room, large bathroom with tiled walk in shower and huge bedroom with balcony overlooking the pacific. From our room you could see both the sunrise and sunset daily, gorgeous. The lady who cleaned our room each day was very accommodating and friendly. This hotel is steps away from Poncho's, a local restaurant that serves meals all day. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast there daily for around 20 dollars with tip. This hotel is right in the middle of the Golden Zone that is populated with souvenir shops, restaurants, night clubs and about anything else you might want. Its also less than a mile from the Malecon, a 2-3 mile beach front that has been recently upgraded with new sidewalks, lighting and walking/bike paths. Our weather was perfect, 80-85 degrees daily with that dark clear blue sky you only see occasionally in southern indiana. All in all, its a great place to stay, centrally located and within walking or "pulmonia" (modified golf carts that will take you the length of the Malecon for $5.00) distance. Be sure to visit the Cathedral and market place on the north end of the Malecon. There is also a wonderful center city area that has been upgraded with plenty of nice restaurants and bars and outside seating where a great Margarita may be enjoyed under the stars.
The Holiday Inn is such a comfortable stay. A new property in Mazatlan. As a repeat traveler to this beautiful city I couldn't help but be impressed with every aspect. The staff was outstanding with customer service. The rooms are big. The beds are comfortable as well as large bathrooms. Ocean view from every room. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Great location in the middle of Mazatlan in the Golden Zone. All rooms are oceanview. The room we had (606) was more than enough space for the two of us and had two queen-sized beds. The staff we had encountered during our two week stay were very friendly and helpful. We would definately stay at that hotel again. There is construction directly next door on a new Marriott, but you barely hear them so it's not intrusive when you're in the pool area or on the beach.
Brand new Holiday Inn in the Golden Zone. Lovely bar on the 15th floor where the sunsets last forever. Some of the best margaritas in town. The lower level just outside the lobby is right on the beach and is another great place to hang out.
