Recent guest reviews

We love the secluded location, great service and wonderful housekeeping. Private beach is lovely and you can walk for miles down the beach. We will return again!

Me and my family had one of our best vacations ever. The stuff is superb! Friendy, attentive, polite and always going the extra mile to make sure you stay is beyond pleasant. The food is delicious!

The hotel and staff is nice. The only issue was no wifi and they charge for the bottle water in the room and coffee. For the amount paid to stay they could at least include those things.

EXCELLENT RESORT.......GREAT ROOMS...........FABULOUS STAFF !!

Excellent hotel and good attention. I recommend it

excellent staff that will help you with everything

Everything was beautiful and meet are every expectation!

You get whatever you want whenever you want but I was really ticked off by how everyone wanted a tip and stared at you if you didn't give them something. It made my stay awkward. perfect example. I wanted a ride to the lobby in a go-cart and the guy stared at me like I was a tarantula. It was just a 30 second ride up a hill. It wasn't a taxi-cab ride. other than that, the place is perfect for everything you could possibly think of.

We had a good time there, the people working there were great. Had beautiful views of the beach, and the marina. Could see the fishing boats go out in the morning. When we had to go back two days early the gave us a credit for next year. One of the best restaraunts in town. We will be back.

As a four star resort we expected more than Denny,s quality food to be included with out an extra 10.00 per meal charged.. The little paket of coffee in your room that you make, three dollars more a day, remember ALL INCLUSIVE.. LOUD , LOUD LOuD MUSIC UNTIL 3AM because they rent out the beach area for local weddings and parties... This was a wasted week of vacation........................

The resort is extremely nice, beautiful water, pool, ocean view everywhere, amazing helpful, freindly staff, and great food. We truly enjoyed our stay at this resort. Next time we travel to Mexico, we will stay at this resort.

VERY RELAXING VERY FRIENDLY PEOPLE GOOD LOCATION NICE CLUB BEACH

I've stayed twice and love this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are excellent, especially the suites.

Very nice I loved the friendly staff and the excellent food

When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted warmly. Unfortunately, the room I was staying in had poor wi-fi signal. I went to the front desk and explained that if they couldn't help me with that, I could not continue my stay because I rely on internet to stay connected to my business when travelling. The guest clerk had the manager, Armando Lizzarraga Rios, address my problem. They then moved us to a better room that had excellent wi-fi connectivity. The next morning, we came back from breakfast and found a wonderful fruit basket with Armando's apologies and best wishes. I can say that I never have had better service at a hotel and would always recommen this hotel heartily to my friends.

EL CID MARINA IS A WONDERFUL RESORT TO STAY AT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU PREFER A QUIETER VACATION. WE TRAVELLED THERE WITH MY 82 YEAR OLD DAD, AND HE REALLY ENJOYED HIMSELF AS WELL. THE RESORT IS VERY WELL KEPT, THE STAFF SPEAK ENGLISH QUITE WELL, AND ARE VERY ACCOMMODATING.THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD AT THE POOL RESTAURANTS. THERE IS A QUICK SHUTTLE SERVICE TO GET YOU DOWN TO THE SHOPS AND MARKETS CLOSER TO TOWN, AND MANY CHOICES OF LOCAL EATERIES. HOWEVER, IF YOU CHOOSE TO STAY AROUND THE RESORT THERE IS A MARKET WHERE YOU CAN GET MOST THINGS. COFFEE AND WATER IS SUPPLIED TO THE ROOMS, HOWEVER, THEY DO CHARGE A SMALL FEE FOR THIS. WE WERE ALWAYS HELPED WITH ANY NEEDS, MEALS WERE GREAT AND THE OCEAN VIEWS ARE WONDERFUL.

We absolutely love this hotel. The staf is fantastic, the rooms are wonderful, the food is great. This was our 5th year and we will retun again. Can't say enough great things about the El Cid Marina.

I've been to Mexico's gulf coast, Cancun, Islas de Mujeres and more but Mazatlan was a pleasant surprise for me and my husband to spend our Thanksgiving together. El Cid Marina is more of a 3 or 4 star hotel (we had expected more of an upscale hotel & suite) but the people who greeted us, managed our needs and represented the hotel were amazingly courteous, fun and great hosts. The Spa was at another El Cid resort so the amenities were spread between other resort by El Cid (which we didn't like at all - we presumed all of our ammentities would be at our location). However, the weather was great and we would return again now that we have a better sense of what to expect. The pool bar had the best coconut shrimp. The 600 dollars in coupons were a bust - most of them couldn't be used and none were worth the attempt.

The room , pools and food were great ! The staff was friendly and helpfull ! We would come back for another stay !!!

Great place to stay it has everything you need to have fun and excitement. Pools are great so is the food and staff. Thankyou to all for a great time !!!!
