This year I traveled with 15 other friends to my beloved Torrenza..... I have been coming here for over 15 years.... yes, sometimes you have to wait for the hot water, you have to ask for more towels.... but...... you are in the cutest boutique 30 unit resort in Mexico!! I was able to secure 8 rooms for all of us.... Rene' at the restaurant is a gem!!! we had so much fun... even did some surf fishing and had them cook it up for us..... nice little resort... not a bunch of people fighting for beach chairs, or pool lounges.... safes in each of the rooms for keeping your stuff safe..... just ask the front desk if you need a taxi .... better yet, for 11 pesos grab a city bus..... we had a blast!!!! *******Do Not do a timeshare presentation!******
Sign up for TS breakfast with Hector DE Diasc,at the Torrenza Boutique hotel. Offered 500 dollars to sit through presentation of Vacation International Group. Following 3 hours of breakfast and high pressure sales, was told we won't get money. If approached by this group, run!!!
Attended a high pressure 3 hour presentation. Promised $500 USD. wouldn't pay at end of presentation, promised to deliver at the end of the day but didn't show up. British sales manager turned hostile when it was clear we weren't interested. Strongly advise you to avoid this one. Shows you can't trust these sales presentations in Mexico.
This is not a bad hotel but is associated with a group of people representing themselves as International Vacation Club which is a scam. The group only exists on a web site they developed, you cannot find them elsewhere. In addition to a high pressure sales pitch, they will not give you any of the rewards promised if you do attend.
My wife and I viewed this property as a potential purchase for a vacation rental. We did the whole view and sales pitch song and dance and after 2.5 hours (after being told it was only an hour long) they said we had to wait another 5 hours to receive our ‘gift’. Upon returning to check in on this, we were told we would not receive it. We were given some lame excuse as not qualifying but it was clearly their out and they never intended on fulfilling their end of the bargain. The lobby is FULL of sales/timeshare people interested in ripping you off of your time and money. The hotel itself is decrepit. It clearly needs many years of restoration to even be considered a two star hotel. The pools are dirty, the grounds are unkempt. The staff and personnel were less than friendly and not approachable. The entire place had a slimey feel - it’s like walking in to a used car lot with a murder of crows above you just waiting to defecate. We had the opportunity to eat there as well and the food was that akin to sewer waste. Neither of us finished our plates and left the entire ordeal feeling slimed on. Spend your time and money somewhere else.
My husband and I were walking by this restaurant and were talked into attending a complimentary breakfast and one hour “presentation”. We were assured that this was not a time share but something of great interest, and with the promise of $200USD and a voucher for two to enjoy dinner with no strings attached we agreed to attend. We showed up that morning and attended breakfast with an English guy who spent the morning showing us photos of he and his wife in Bali, enjoying their beautiful life (one we could have too, I assumed, if we purchased whatever product he was selling). I am a salesperson as well and was wary of his technique but he was likeable and had piqued our interest so we continued on. One hour turned into two and we were promised that with an investment of only $10,000USD we could have this product they were selling. We decided against purchasing in the end, and waited patiently another 30 minutes for someone else to come and try to close the deal a second time. When we politely declined, he told us we would need him to deliver our “gift” later that evening. I didn’t want them to know our address so we agreed to meet him back at the hotel. When we arrived he told us we were NQ (not qualified) to receive such a gift (even thought we had stayed 2.5x the length of time we had agreed to), and tried to again sell us this product we had already turned back down. Upon leaving the hotel we had done further research and found that this “product” actually does not exist anywhere on the internet. The whole thing was a scam!!!! Beware!! We should have known better!!!
ALERT!!!! You don't find out which hotel you are going to be hearing the presentation from until you get there. Take the first cab out of there, don't waste your precious vacation time listening to the BS lies. Resort is a rundown piece of garbage, everything they show you online and all the stories they tell you are lies. They are using your money to go on their own free vacations. And they won't pay you the $550 US they promise. Don't get sucked in. When you turn them down like we did, these super friendly people turn into angry tyrants. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!
We were approached in Mazatlan to listen to a "presentation" with a gift of 5000pesos for doing so. After the presentation we talked about what they presented to us and decided it was not for us. They got very upset that we said no. They told us they would deliver our pesos that night because they did not have the money in house. We waited for them and they never showed. These people lied to us and cheated us out of the money that we rightly deserved. Do NOT do business with these people!!
The hotel is falling apart and they are operating a huge sales scam at the resort as well since 2015 from what I can see. . Since Tripadvisor chooses not to allow people to provide the details of this or the activity they are perpetrating to protect the people who rely on this site for more in depth info suffice it to say there has been little or no upkeep on the property , everything is in disrepair and rather than bellmen or service staff they have 5 thugs to assist in removing people invited to view their property. Breakfast was average but don't expect to receive anything for viewing the property beyond that..
Arrived and decided to eat lunch and no beef and no shrimp so our menu options dropped dramatically. 4 people staying in our room and we got 2 towels. Pool temp was too cold and hot tub seemed to be 160. Called to see if they could turn it down and several hours later it was just barely tolerable. Water temps in shower luke warm. Not advise to stay here!
