Check-in reception was very friendly, great mountain views out the window, and clean and comfortable. Breakfast is hot and delicious! It's a good value and we plan to return!
Everything was great except the night we got there we were told they didn’t have Rooms to accommodate pets on the first floor and had to pay an additional $25 per night on top of the already $25 pet fee
They ran out of bars of soap and gave us shampoo to us as soap.
Only a few minutes from Mars Hill campus. Friendly staff. Suggested beautiful local hiking area.
Overall good. The key did not seem to want to take or keep the access information so I had to get it reset.
I didn't like that there were no towel bars. No place to put towels to dry our hands.

While there was nothing truly terrible about this hotel, they could use new mattresses and our bathroom was missing a couple towel racks. We were given a handicap accessible room and there was no soap dish in the shower which I found strange. The breakfast was free but that's about all it was worth. The selection was very limited and rather pre-fab. I was unable to eat the sausage and thankfully they had individual yogurts for protein instead. The room doors automatically slam and our neighbor (not the hotel's fault) must've opened and shut their door no less than 12 times at 6:00 am one morning. So much for common courtesy and our "Do Not Disturb" sign. I'm sure there are worse places to stay so maybe in a pinch I would go here again. But it would not be my first choice.
We have been staying at this hotel for 4 years. Our son attends Mars Hill University. Always friendly staff and clean and comfy rooms.
The hotel AC did not offer a temperature regulation, rather it was running all night and freezing or off and hot. Complimentary breakfast was better than expected. Traveled there for a wedding and was overall a convenient location for the wedding venue, access to Asheville and hiking opportunities.

Waffle House is next door. Very clean rooms, pretty big space, good condition, everything is ok.
