Perfect location for daily hiking excursions ,waterfall viewing and located midway between Highlands and Brevard makes traveling either direction a breeze . Everything you need in the lodge/cabin from fully equipped mini kitchen large bedroom and comfortable den and cover porch .

We made last minute reservations because our daughter was going to be in the Cashiers area for an event. We were VERY pleased with the Rose room in the Cottage. It was clean, homey and well appointed. We liked that the area was quiet and it was away from the hustle and bustle of town but still convenient to Cashiers/Highlands as well as Gorges State Park. We definitely plan to return!

Substandard and malodorous

When I opened the door, it stank, I had to air it out for about an hour, dank. The bed, while it appeared luxurious, turned out to be very uncomfortable, the pillows too, woke up sore and with a headache. The coffee pot was dirty, had old grounds and water in tank, for who knows how long, stank. Paint peeling in the bathroom. 1.5 to 2” gap underneath door to adjoining rented room, I chose to put pillows to block it, blinds are too small for the windows and you can easily see inside at night, curtains covered only about 20% so you couldn’t cover where blinds failed. Premium price, substandard property. Also, welcomed with a speed bump that almost wrecked my vehicle.

This is a very nice rustic property, quite befitting the area of the mountains. Very easy check-in; the rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. A perfect spot as a base for hiking in the Gorges State Park and for other local attractions.

The description of the property was accurate....no surprises. Check in was easy, the apartment was beautiful, very comfortable, clean, and inviting. There are several good places to dine nearby. Some great hikes within about 15 minutes. We will be back here for another mountain getaway in the near future. Highly recommend!!
