There was a gap in the front door so large you could see the carpet in the hall. The light bar was hanging from the ceiling looking like it was going to fall. The headboards were not attached to the wall so when my son rolled over it pounded the wall and woke us up. There was food on the table when we arrived and a backpack next to the bed. The safe was rusted open and could not be used. We had a view of the parking lot. The staff was very nice and kind but said the rooms were individually owned and they could not do anything about our issues.

This is one tired and beaten property that needs to be better maintained by the condo owners.

Well the bathroom is small, moldy, overall meh. Could have been revamped. The balcony on the first first floor was tiny, couldn’t even stay out there because the ac dripped water from it. And they didn’t clean the room good enough. Right before leaving found the 4th pillow stuffed underneath the bed where previous guests had stained it with dip packets. Of your looking to go to the beach on a budget it works.

There was sand around the wall of the tub and cereal on the floor when we arrived. Staff was very friendly.

Good location. Musty smell to the room. The bathroom was not super clean - mildew in the tub and the wash cloth and soap from the previous person were still in the shower. Walls were not sound-proof and the next-door people were noisy. Liked the boardwalk out back.

the first room we had had black mold all over the curtains and on the air conditioning unit. We accidently spilled something on the floor and when i wiped it up, the paper towel was pitch black, It is quite obvious the cleaning crew is not cleaning these rooms well. In addition the beds were absolutely horrible, they were very hard and uncomfortable. The management/desk staff was very helpful in moving us to another room which was better, but i would not stay here again. The rooms were not as they appeared in the pictures. My advice, getting a new cleaning crew.

At first seemed nice, accommidating staff, but the room was the worst I’ve seen. Noisy A/C, sounded like a diesel truck starting up, rust on the towl racks and doors, stained chairs, dirty carpet, hardest bed I’ve ever tried to sleep in. Furniture was from the 70’s, walls cracked in some places. I felt like I needed a bath after leaving (BTW, only stayed one night out of a 3 night stay). I would not recommend this place or stay there again. Very disappointing. Hotels in Atlantic Beach are limited near the beach. Left and drove to Nags Head, much better area.

Nice place but hair dryer and phone in room didn't work. Minor things... bath tub was very stained and caulking around tub was icky but overall nice place. I still would stay here again.

this is a nice place to stay but clearly this room was under being remolded. the bed was nice but there were a lot of things repaired but not finished. but it worked for the night I was traveling alone this time so I just made it work

These units are actually owned condo's. The bed is located two steps down from the living/kitchen area. Each room is beautifully decorated. There's a large desk dividing the two areas. I love the small kitchenette and table with two chairs. The staff were very inviting and could answer most questions. They were locals who grew up on this island.

It was ok, not really what I expected. The facility does not have an elevator and appears very old and worn.

I price of the hotel was fair. The facility was clean although the views of the marsh need a little more curb side appeal. Around the back of the hotel over looking the marsh there was debride. It looked as if repairs or updates were done to the hotel and the left over was not cleaned up - guttering, pieces so sheet rock, etc. It wasn't horribly trashy, just enough to make you wonder about the hotel's policy on curb side appeal. But over all it wasn't a horrible place. We were looking for specific things and this place met our needs. The staff was mostly friendly. I did ask one member for extra towels and was told that our room wasn't in her group. But fortunately we had Amanda. She was super nice and very attentive to our needs. My husband and I both agreed that she was probably one of the best housekeeping staff members we have ever came across in our travels. She was my go to person. If I needed anything, had a question, Amanda was the girl. Our room was a bit small but did met our needs. The one thing I wondered about was finding paint supplies and tools in the room. Unsure if it was left by staff or the owners. I just placed everything under the kitchen sink. My thoughts were what was policy about leaving supplies in the rooms. To me this would be a safety issue. Plus with a 3 year old, this was something she could have gotten into. If visiting Atlantic Beach in the future, I would consider staying here again.
