Really clean, newer, rooms are great. Nice and quiet.
What a very pleasant surprise! Clean, new, nice balcony, nice kitchen, comfy bed, pretty area. Sadly the pool was out of service sue to the hurricane, but we still had a great time. We would highly recommend!
This was an interesting property as it is not really a hotel..it is more like renting a condo with maid service. The office is a small building located at the entrance of the property and is manned approx. 16 hours out of the day. The rooms are set up like an extended stay hotel and have all the appliances you need to for a cook a meal, toast a bagel or freeze a fish. The location has one building with approx. 10 units on each floor (two floors) stay on the top floor and ask for a unit close to the pool or Cape Fear River aka better views. A second building is being constructed on the property so there might be some construction activity. The property has a large deck for something -maybe for future use and a nice little pool with a gazebo and a small beach near by. I saw a sign on the beach "beware of alligators" so keep one-eye open when you nap. The location is about a 10 minute walk to the center of South Port. The city is quaint and has some decent restaurants but due to covid-19 there are limitations on availability. The closest beach is Oak Island, which is a gem and is very family friendly. All and all not a bad trip or place to stay.
Excellent location and a very responsive staff. Kitchenette made it possible to cook.
Gorgeous view of the water. Even has their own pier!
Staff very nice. Room newish. TV was on small side withno guide for out of towners. Dining chairs only option in room. Not good for 4 day stay.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay. Our property is in fact a hotel. We are unique because one can purchase a unit as an investment, not as a primary residence, or use as an extended stay. All of our hotel rooms are rented per night and have a galley kitchen, and a terrace with expansive views South or North down the River. Yes, we are currently building a 2nd phase housing 24 more units that will be finished by the end of the year. The 'deck' is a large Event space perched on the River that will house a tent or Al fresco dining and dancing under the stars for weddings, etc. We also have a 250 foot pier jutting out over the River that is ideal for fishing! As of this writing, most of our Restaurants in the Village are open with the consideration of social distancing. Do come back and see us! The River is calling ...

Thank you for your comments. Having just opened over the past month, we are in the process of printing our TV guides to put in each room. We also now have chairs on all balconies. Management Team River Hotel of Southport
