Liked the easy access to get to the beach. Didn’t like the free breakfast, not many hot items at all.

We have stayed in this hotel numerous times in previous years, the last time three years ago. However, this year the property was not as well kept or clean as in the past. The shower grout had numerous black mold spots which needed fixing. In addition, when we checked in and went to the room, there were no bath towels! I had to go to the front desk to get some. The housekeeping did not clean the room or make the bed the day after our first stay. All they did was take away the used towels but they did not leave replacements. The rooms are noisy because of the air conditioner which makes a lot of racket when operating. The walls are very thin so any sound on the floor (door opening, elevator, talking) can be heard very clearly inside the room. The "continental breakfast" was a complete joke! There were a few boxes of cereal, a few cartons of milk, very small amount of fruit and some very nasty looking pastries . . . the kind you buy at a dollar store. The bagels were either stale or frozen. They did have coffee, tea, hot chocolate and oatmeal. I did not see any yogurt. Very disappointing because they could have at least put out something fresh and had some nice, name brand pastries instead of that cheap dollar store crap. In essence, the hotel has not maintained well over the years. I will not return and will go to one of the other hotels in the area in the future.

Room was spacious & came with a pull out sofa for the kids.

When staying here make sure to ask for a room on the back side of the property. The blinds do a really poor job of blocking light, so rooms facing the parking lot (and parking lot lights) feel like you have a flood light coming through the edges of the window. Makes for a very poor nights sleep. The room were clean though, so no complaints other than the very poor shades (oh, and the oddly square pillows they have on the beds, that took a call for more pillows and some getting used to).

While this used to be my go to in the area, I was extremely disappointed. While signage stated that Everyone needed to be wearing masks, the staff behind the check-in desk was not wearing a mask on two of the three days there. There was no do not disturb sign in my room so I requested that they do not come into my room to clean between the days, but they still did come in the first day. I had to re-sanitize things multiple times because I knew they wouldn’t be checking touch points. The room used to be temperature conditioned, but now everything felt damp and uncomfortable.

Very clean, with a friendly staff. I would highly recommend.

Not clean. Pool not being monitored. No sanitizing of chairs between people. Hot tub not working. Pool towels very old and threadbare. No security and there was problem first night requiring police being called. Disappointed front desk declined to let us know who was knocking on our windows after midnight.

Rooms are not well kept. Handicapped room was a disgrace. Staff not really willing to help. Will not stay at this hotel anywhere in our travels again.

I didn't like the shower head, but everything else was very nice.

Great Stay, wonderfull location, the best hotel in Southport!
