Qualla Motel & Cabins

Very nice staff, made us feel welcome. I enjoyed their hospitality. Liked that there was space outside for my dog. What I didn't like: walls thin could hear guests next door (that's why I wanted to stay in their cabins). No laundry facility on site. No hangers provided. I don't mind old places as long as its clean and doesn't smell bad. Our room was very clean, but that odor! A plus is free rides to and from the casino with a $10 charge after 11pm. All of the drivers were courteous ex one person who was rude and grouchy!

I was booked for a hotel room. They talked me into upgrading to a cabin. I was glad they did. For fifty dollars more we got to stay on the river. It was very quiet and peaceful and clean

Likes: Friendly woman at the counter, excellent location and the room was clean. Dislike: Old towels that had few faded spots,coffee pot did not work, and having a chair outside of door is not such a good idea,at least in my case-had an old guy sitting outside from early morning(5am) coughing and spitting..couldn't get a good sleep in the morning

Location for our trip was great. The bathroom could have been cleaned, but otherwise was fine.

I didnt like anything about this filthy place. The drapes had big holes in them with duck tape over them. There were dirty towels hanging on the bathrrom door from the previous guest. The owners were the most unfriendliest people i have ever met. The whole place stuck!

Clean room. The bed was comfortable. Very cool Being by the water.

Motel was very clean, affordable, had all the amenities needed for my overnight stay. easy access to all ground level rooms, beds were very comfortable. great location, not a lot of traffic as if you were staying by the casino. and the Motel staff let me check in earlier than the 4:00 pm check in, which was very much appreciated. waffle house, taco bell, McDonalds, Arbys just across the street from Motel. less than a five minute drive to all the happenings in Cherokee.

There were bugs in the room, dogs barking in adjacent rooms. AC didn’t work and terrible nasty odors. This property shouldn’t even be listed with Orbitz!!!!

It was a great place to stay clean and close to every thing

The cabins are beautiful,sit on stream with backporch overlooking the stream. Ease of access to shopping,the casino and eateries.

When I arrived at the motel the desk person didn't want to check me in. He said I'm not listed on reserve (his attitude wasn't good). I had to go back to my car to sign in to orbitz on my phone to show my reservation on Orbitz. There's no reason on my part for his behavior. He said under his breath 'crazy' when his behavior is questionable. When I walked out of the room to check out later he called me crazy again. I wasn't displaying crazy behavior. This looks like a discrimination case with no reason to discriminate! I'm a white caucasian heterosexual all my life married to a woman for 23 years! I'll give them one more chance next time I come to Cherokee and if anything like this happens again there will be a law suite. I want to be treated with respect when I stay there.

Simple 50’s road motel. Like most they try really hard to make what they can afford work. Room was clean and quiet. The mattresses need replaced. Looks to be American owned. The staff was really nice, even offering to drive to get us food in the pouring rain (we were on a motorcycle). Would stay there again without hesitation.

My first impression of this Motel was not good! I came off the highway up to the left of the office. The drapes were not hanging well, people were sitting outside, and the overall appearance was poor. Apparently this Wing was for their long-term stays. My room turned out to be on the other side of the office. The room was substantially like the pictures online had showed them to be. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and amenities were working well. I had a very comfortable stay and would highly recommend this properly for its proximity to everything in Cherokee. The Oconoluftee Indian village, Mountainside theater for the Unto These Hills drama and the casinos are all quite near. It is also a reasonable distance to the whitewater rafting area on the Nantahala River.

I was in town for a bike race in cherokee. It was a cute little town and Qualla Cabins and Motel was right in the heart of everything. The fairgrounds with an open water stream to play in was open to the public, which was less that 5 minutes down the road. The Casino was within 2 miles as well. The beds were very comfortable and the showered stayed warm even for my long showers! Great place to stay and I will return!
