SpringHill Suites by Marriott Macon

The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was not only sufficient sleeping space but also plenty of room for moving around. Bathrooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was advertised as Continental and included boiled eggs, turkey sausage, fresh spinach, fresh strawberries, cantaloupe, and waffles in addition to standard cereal and bread/pastries. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

We've stayed at a lot of Marriott properties, Springhill included but have never encountered the layout that we had here--the bathroom was two separate rooms. I've seen bathrooms with toilets in a closet in the room in places (though not a Marriott that I can remember). But here the toilet area is completely separate from the bathing area. This wouldn't present that big of a problem but in the toilet area, there is a small sink--great--but no towel bar for a hand towel. And if you need to take medicine during the night or early morning, like I do, you have to go from one area to another. Probably not a big thing for a lot of people but we weren't fans of the design. Other than that, the room was good with a comfortable bed. Wifi worked fine. We asked for an upper floor and had that so no noise to speak of. Breakfast was good, better than other places we have stayed. There are restaurants less than a mile away so the location works. It's up to you if the bathroom layout is a problem.

My husband and I stopped at this hotel on Friday November 3, 2017 after a very long drive. We needed to rest. The room was large but very oddly shaped. A tiny toilet with a pocket door made me quite uncomfortable as I am a bit claustrophobic. The shower and another sink was in a different location in the room. There were used toiletries left in the shower. There was a stain on the mattress side - seriously, There was a small amount of blood on a pillowcase - this was still reddish color. One couch cushion had a dark brown stain, making it most unappetizing to relax on. We have pictures. Both of us were too exhausted to repack and drive further. We went to the front desk to ask for the manager in the morning. The young man at the front said he was the weekend manager and took our information. He said he would forward to the manager who would surely get in touch with us. That did not happen. On a sweeter note, the breakfast was nourishing, the lady running the kitchen was just lovely and very helpful. That was the only reason I gave this place 2 stars.

The hotel staff were very friendly. We stayed one night and it was perfect for that. Breakfast was included in our pricing and they buffet was very well stocked. I was super excited to see all the different toppings for oatmeal. They also had eggs, sausage, bagels, muffins, and fruit. The staff did an excellent job at keeping the area clean and keeping the food replenished. In our room, the toilet was in a separate smaller room than the shower. The shower curtain was a bit short so we had to use a towel to catch the leaks. The only downside was he hotel did have a weird smell throughout. I’m not sure if it was food that another person had or what. Otherwise the room was ok. I do feel it was a bit overpriced, but we felt safe in the parking area and in the hotel. We would stay here again.

This convenient, well-run hotel was quite a pleasant surprise. The room was well-designed, in a contemporary style and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, ready with off-beat suggestions for making our stay in Macon interesting. And most of all, the bed was super-comfortable.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, the staff was nice, and breakfast was good. It's hard to ask much more from a place we needed for one night. We will definitely return if we need a hotel in Macon.

Finally arriving late after viewing the total eclipse in North Georgia, NIkia Washington, Sales Coordinator warmly greeted us to the hotel. Our suite was clean and comfortable, which is all we needed for a short nights rest before continuing home early the next morning. We will certainly stay here again when in the area.

On 09-22-2017, we checked in for our third stay at this facility. As experienced in the previous two stays, we had a wonderful experience. The front desk employees were very friendly and courteous, and thanked us for our Marriott loyalty and for our past stays. The breakfast on 09-23 was as good as before. Tammy and an assistant (sorry, didn't get her name) AGAIN provided us with excellent service. Of Note: while we were eating, I noticed a large bus full of young athletes/gymnastists drove up. They were all checking in for a competition of some sort (assume they also spent the night). Many went to the breakfast area to eat, adding a large number of guests at one time. Tammy and the kitchen staff were able to keep up with the sudden demand, and I did not see anyone having to wait for food. The front desk was also busy with what I assume was, a large number of check ins. All employees working there on the morning of 09-23 are to be commended for how well they handled the large number of guests. We were able to check out on time and without any problems. Another great stay at the Spring Hill Suites in Macon! God Bless, Ken

It was an oasis in the storm. Amongst the chaos of the night it was refreshing to be greeted by staff were so kind & courteous. The room was excellent with a separate sitting area with office desk, comfortable bed with plush pillows. They even read our Marriott profile about allergies. Nice continental breakfast is included, too

We got in late at night during our epic road trip and the room was huge and comfortable. Pretty sure we were the first family to use the sofabed. Our boys wanted to stay forever but we had to press on to Florida. Only hitch, the bathroom door didnt offer much privacy. If you are a shy pee-er or dont live with everyone in the room, might be awkward.
