Decent and clean. They do not do housekeeping everyday, but will spot clean upon request. You have to call daily to have someone come up ans they may ask you when was the last time you asked for housekeeping to determine if they will oblige. Enjoyed the balcony, gym and pool. When I made and paid for the reservation through expedia, there was nothing telling me that you have to pay $30 a night for your car to be parked there. Not being fully transparent of the charges prior to arrival might be fraudulent and illegal. I would have looked in other places, had I known in advance. Then, there’s the room. The bathroom very strongly smelled like pee. One of the coffee pods was used and placed in the basket with the unused ones. The room doesn’t have black out curtains, they are actually sheer. So, if you get dressed in the evening, people outside can see you. The other problem with the sheer curtains is that the parking lot lights lit up my room all night. I got about two hours of sleep because it was just too bright.

++ I do not recommend ++ 1. Apon check-in, the hotel advised that they DO NOT offer room service until AFTER 6 NIGHTS. That is just ridiculous. 2. The $30/day parking was not listed on the web site. Would not stay here again.

Good hotel for LAX

Good hotel for LAX. This hotel was close to LAX. It was clean, comfortable, and fairly reasonably priced. There is no included breakfast, but breakfast can be purchased from the restaurant. There is a shuttle bus from the airport, which I did not use. I believe there is a cost for using the airport shuttle. There didn't appear to be many options for restaurants or shopping in the immediate area. If you don't have a car, that might be an issue. I would stay here again.

This property was a huge disappointment. It’s old and dated and dirty in common areas and rooms especially. I was grossed out. Also, homeless addicts all around the property and they had some sketchy guests here. Lady at counter was nice but will never stay there again. Step your game up, Sonesta!

Hotel was ok. We need a hotel close to LAX that wasn't too expensive. At first we wanted to leave our car there after we checked out, but we decided to park at LAX instead. They still charged me $30 for the extra days of parking. Tried to call the hotel 3 times to get a refund but no luck. Not cool.
