Be careful… damage fees

Me and my fiancé have stayed here multiple times and it’s always been a great experience til my last trip in June. We stayed at the same location El Segundo. I was charged $250 smoking fee and either one of us smoke and when I called the manager, she insisted that somebody smoked in the room and refused to give me my money back. So I ended up calling customer service filing a complaint and with my credit card company. Eventually, I got my money back, but due to this situation, I refuse to book with them again.

I was very irritated at my experience here. The hotel seems to have lost there luster on cleanliness. The carpets were dirty and I smell wasn’t the best. Upon check-in I was lied to when I requested a top floor room. I checked in my room on the lower and my TV didn’t work. I went back down to front desk where they changed my room to a 3rd floor room. Ironically I check in the new room and there was hair all in the shower which not too mention the old furniture. Very disappointed from my prior stay months prior.

I was very happy with my experience after my 4 nights at this Sonesta. Initially, I wasn't satisfied with my room, but the staff was very accomodating and quickly found a new room for me that was up to my standards. Location is quite, and a short drive to beach cities which I was visiting while in the area. Highly recommend this place!
