The Stratford Hotel

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very small but very clean. The bathroom tap was extremely lose and the bed mattress was smaller than the bed base. Ideal for 1 person but for 2 people sharing it wasn't that comfortable, but we still slept ok. Overall for the price we paid we will definitely use them again for a 1 night stay.

The location is pretty good and the staff were helpful and welcoming. I would have had a good stay had it not been for the incredibly noisy fellow residents. The walls are very thin and I got no sleep before an important exam because people were running up and down the stairs and shouting through the night. The very thin walls meant I could hear the bed springs from a neighbouring room and a couple clearly going at it, also lots of door slamming.

There was nothing to like.. score neutral! room was very basic , decor was unprofessional. Shower was clean , water hot . Bed linen clean towels too, matttress marked badly, no protective covering on .. pillows of poor quality... view from room, old beds n mattress... very quiet area . Too expensive for area and rating .

Went to stay over the weekend with my boyfriend. Taken an while for check in. Couldn't found My details on the computer. Custom service skills wasn't great. Overall room was cleaned with fresh bedding so happy with that. needed an print had an few marks on the walls. Wasn't bad place to stay. Bed was okay.

It is advertised as a hotel, but not really a hotel. The reception staff was the most unfriendly and unhelpful person i ever met. The room toilet was not cleaned and was blocked with human mess. Reluctantly, i was given a family room and rudely told to only to use one bed. The shower and room furniture werea joke. Broken and not working properly. The horror hit me when water leaked into my bed from the ceiling and the Manager refused to come out to sort things out or provide me with an alternative room. "We cant refund you as you booked with Expedia ", was the answer when i asked for a refund for the disgusting service provided. I hope Expedia will sort this out and give my money back

Our room was in the basement. Had a tiny windown with no curtain. Room was stuffy. Bed uncomfortable with broken springs. Unable to use shower as either boiling hot or cold - very small shower and toilet room. Toilet seat was broken.

For the prize the hotel was fine and the employees were always nice! Though the hotel walls were really thin and you could hear everything that was going on! I booked a 2 man room and i dont see how we could have ever been two at that room
