Stayed at the hotel during PHEX at Alexandra Palace, on arrival there was no parking in the hotels car park which was an issue. The entrance to the hotel was very pleasant and the staff were extremely helpful but, that's where all the good points end. Rooms were dated and run down. The TV was tiny for the size of the room it also only had 1 channel that worked. The breakfast was possibly the worst I have had whilst staying at a hotel which is weekly. Overall I was extremely disappointed and won't be rushing to book a room at Holiday Inn anytime soon, especially when the room cost £209 for the night.
Couple of nights in Golders green both business and pleasure. I needed a hotel with facilities for my wife who is in a wheelchair, Called HIG call centre for assistance they guided me to HI Express at Golders green. When we arrived it was everything we had been told, easy parking, great access throughout the whole building, large room and walk in wet room/shower room. Access to breakfast and restaurant via chairlift with a good menu and excellent presented food. The staff went beyond all expectations and even contacting my wife in the room whilst I was at appointments. My score is a full house, well done and thank you We shall be returning in the near future when business allows
15-20 minutes walk from the North Greenwich Tube station. Not much to do in the immediate surroundings, magnificent views on the jammed motorway. Accessible by car mainly, though bus stops are at 5-10 min walk distance. What else ? Clean and comfortable while without any luxury ! No charm at all for anything (lobby, restaurant, rooms..). Limited menu and barely acceptable fish & chips : why not try something else ? Overall, a rather depressing atmosphere. Would I come back ? Probably not.
Good value hotel, typical Holiday Inn Express, you know what to expect. Comfortable bed, nice room and decent breakfast. Free parking. Friendly staff. Bus stop right outside for short journey to Golders Green tube station & quick access to central London.
I was a regular user of holiday inn The staff are fantastic but the hotel was getting run down. The most annoying thing was not having a proper TV They were always saying they would upgrade but in many years never did Travelodge Finchley opened up in Finchley central and it was a revelation Working TV better beds better rooms very easy for tube They charge for breakfast but are cheaper overall So now I use it instead
This is a really nice, hospitable, cozy place! Clean, with a very friendly and helpful staff. The owner himself takes a personal interest in his guests and makes sure they are comfortable and that all their needs are satisfied. He even offers tips about interesting things to see and places to visit in the neighborhood. For Jewish visitors, kosher meals are available and full Shabbat meal service is also available. The main synagogue in the area is right across the street - can't beat that for convenience! I would stay here again with pleasure and without hesitation if I'm ever back in that neck of the woods!
This is not really an hotel for a stay of more than 1 or 2 days BUT we stayed a week and it was very nice. The staff are extraordinarily welcoming and helpful! Breakfast is very adequate and you can get Kosher food - with paper plates etc - a very nice touch
Lovely clean room. Decent breakfast , full English, cereal, toast, continental, plus juice tea and coffee, all for £91. Not bad. TV was poor quality picture and sound. Plenty of pillows. Air con. Stain on carpet - but otherwise no complaints
I went in to the hotel today politely requesting to use their lobby toilet facilities as I was caught short. I was expecting simply to be pointed in the right direction. I was brusquely told that it was not a public toilet. In fact there are no public toilets in the area! Maybe my mistake was to ask and should have simply not asked!
The beds are unbearable. I keep returning because they keep promising they are about to get new ones! Its over 2 years now and they still haven't replaced them. The TVs are also 20yrs old box version. They keep promising they are about to get new ones! Its over 2 years now and they still haven't replaced them.
