Good place if you come in to Paddington train station room smallish but most London hotels are.Breakfast was good. Shops nearby good place to base yourself. Clean rooms. Has a lift for suit cases which some older hotels do not. We arrived early and were able to leave our bags to go sightseeing. I would stay here again

Really very bad hotel .. Room very small if u r little bit fat u can't take around in the room and will be very difficult to enter the bathroom and close the door . AC is fixed over the bed with cold air and u can't stop the aircondition even if u take off the card key to stop all the electricity... It was a horrible day and I can't sleep all night .. And I was sorry that I didn't ve time to make a legal problem with them .. It must be a 1 star hotel max

A convenient & central place to stay, with excellent & friendly service from staff. A well priced hotel for central London & I wouldn't hesitate to return! Breakfast choices were amazing and evening meal was very tasty!

I'm always fascinated when a hotel has 5 star reviews and 1 star reviews - who's right? Well in this case I was really pleasantly surprised. Admittedly I did have a suite (they upgraded me without me asking - THAT never happens!) so I was down the stairs, in what I guess is the new bit. Really nice and clean and smart. £139 which includes English breakfast. Check out the photos - good attention to detail, great big TV, free wifi, nice area with lots of restaurants etc just outside - what's not to like?

Just returned from a 2 night stay for London fashion week.tube station just around the corner.fast check in, very friendly staff, rooms spotless also bedding emaculate. Rooms cleaned each day with fresh towels.not the biggest of bathrooms ...but how many do you want in a bathroom at same time, plenty of mirrors in room.had the continenta breakfast first morning it was excellent with a vast variety and choices.went for full English second morning and could not fault it very tasty, staff on hand for teas, coffees, top ups all with friendly smiles and attitudes. The hotel was spotless.if in paddington again would not hesitate to book here again.great pub at the end of the road ,fountains abbey.

Hotel is located, approx. 5-10 min walk from the tube station & is located ideally in Paddington. We were here for one night only as we had tickets for day 1 of the final test at Lords v the Windies. Check in was quick & efficient, staff were very polite & welcoming, they also upgraded us from an executive room to a suite of some description. Suite was a good size, with a large bed, sofa & fridge in the room. Bath had a TV at the end if you can't miss 5 minutes of the television. Didn't use the bar, nor the restaurant, although we were given a coupon for a 3 course meal in the restaurant for £17.95, we had a dinner reservation elsewhere.# Room & communal areas were all clean & well kept, genuinely can't fault this hotel nor the staff & would stay here again in a heartbeat...

Arrived at this hotel after a very long day at 5.30pm and the staff seemed uncertain if my room was ready. I have never experienced this in any hotel so late in the day but it was clear from conversation between staff they were in a hurry to get the room finished. Rooms are very small but have all the basics. Would be tricky with lots of luggage as nowhere to put it. Absolutely disgusting stains on my carpet (see images) plus there was a previous guests towel inclusive of a pubic hair hanging on the back on my bathroom door (again see pic). Made me feel quite sick and question the rest of the hotel standards. Overall, will not be returning and given volume of other hotels in area would think there are more hygienic places.

We arrived early and our room was not ready yet, the staff dealt with us perfectly, friendly and helpful. The bar was nice and the breakfast was pretty good too. We went for the second cheapest double room, 'executive' they called it. For the money paid the location and quality of the hotel is exceptional. The room size would have been funny if it wasn't me who had to sleep there. There wasn't even enough space in the room to open our suitcase without putting it on the bed. I understand that central London; space is at a premium, but this was extracting the urine. Such a shame because if I had just had enough room to open my suitcase or close the toilet door without having to shuffle sideways it would have been a 4-5 star review.

What a terrible stay. The woman at the front desk was the single rudest and most unpleasant person I've come across in any hotel anywhere. Annoyingly I can't remember her name, but it definitely began with M (it might have been Martina??). Check in time is 3pm (why so late?), we arrived at about 2pm to be flatly told our room wasn't ready. No apology, no sympathy for travelers who just arrived from the other side of the world, no patience. She delivered her piece in a way as if to say "aren't you stupid for booking a flight that arrives 1 hour before check in, it's all your problem you idiot, come back later, screw you!". It's possible her English wasn't good enough and her words made her come across ruder than she intended, but in a hotel in England you don't expect to have to deal with a language barrier. The room was way smaller than the London average and the WiFi was so slow as to be unusable. On our way to and from the lift during our stay we overheard at least 3 other couples having raging arguments in their rooms. It seems that's the effect the hotel has on people, or that's simply the kind of clientele it attracts. Either way, it's not pleasant. There is only 1 lift and it's very small and very slow. It's normal to wait 5 minutes for it to arrive only to not be able to get in as it's already full. Breakfast was mediocre, but you can only help yourself from half the buffet unless you pay more!! Once again the staff were poor. Just an awful stay, and not that cheap either.

The staff were kind and nice. The location was great as it was close to Paddington station and there was a bus stop just in front of the hotel. The hotel located an area where there are many restaurants around. Queensway and Edgware road is within walking distance. The rooms and toilet are a bit small
