We choice this hotel because we had decide to dine at the Galvins restaurant, so for convenience and because I could use my HHonors points for a deal. On arrival we were warmly greeted with good humour at the front desk. As a HHonors members i was able to checkin and select my specific room online before arrival. On arrival the receptionist suggested the room i had chosen had a great view from 21st floors overlooking Green Park but it was a small window and I might prefer a room on a lower floors with a more panoramic view. Top marks to him. what we didn't expect was to be upgraded to a massive suite overlooking Hyde Park from one of the rooms and Mayfair from another at the same time. It was huge. with a very comfortable lounge, super king bed and a bathroom that had a huge tub and wonderfully powerful rain shower. The bed wasn't as comfortable as some I've stayed in, certainly not as good as you might expect from a suit that normally costs £1200 a night and I never understand why hotels insist on putting feather pillows on beds as a standard set up. Having said that i didn't take much to get some foam pillows sent to the room. Lunch on arrival in the Podium Restaurant on the ground floor overlooking Park Lane was top notch. Friendly fast service and quality food at ok prices - it is Park Lane so not going to be at the cheaper end but good value all the same. By taking an 'executive' room in the first place we were eligible to use the Exec Lounge so you can imagine our delight the following morning when we found this out and could get breakfast courtesy of Hilton. We would definitely stay here again even if we have to 'slum' it in a regular room :-) Not the most convenient by tube, it is a 10-15 min walk from Green Park tube and whilst Hyde Park Corner tube is over the road the traffic make its a little difficult and it can be confusing which exit from the tube station to use if you are not familiar with London. If you don't want to eat in the hotel, the original Hard Rock Cafe is a 2-5 min walk around the corner and there are plenty of other bars and restaurants in Mayfair to choose from all walkable or less than £10 in a taxi
Spent a couple of nights here and must say we had a really comfortable bed and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is expensive but perhaps no more than the other flagship hotels on Park Lane and the view from our window over Hyde Park was worth a bit extra.
Visited here for an awards doo this week, The first thing that you notice is the impressive lobby - all very nice. The lady on checkin was all very efficient and friendly. My room had a great view of central London, I could see the eye, the shard, the walkie talkie etc. The room was quite spacious with a wonderful large comfy bed, unfortunately the furniture and the bathroom all looked a bit tired and ready for a refurb and not what one would expect in an upmarket hotel in a swanky part of London. The shower head had limescale on it and the taps / chrome-ware had lost their shine. The tv appeared to be pretty old / tired and in need of replacing with something a bit more current (maybe even with HD??) The food at dinner was great, modern British and well presented and hot - no mean feat as I bet there were 600+ people there. The bar is very expensive though!
Pros: 1 - The rooms are nice and are well maintained. Top floors get nice views of Hyde Park or the rest of Central London 2 - There's a bus stop in front of the hotel, so it's easy to get around by bus. 3 - Knightsbridge is within walking distance, and all the fancy shops (including Harvey Nichols and Harrods) are there. Cons: 1 - No tube station nearby 2 - Breakfast buffet is disappointing. Same choices every single day. 3 - There are not a lot of restaurant options in the immediate vicinity. Overall, an ok hotel. But if you prefer to walk to see the city, I would not choose this location. It's not walking distance from the West End or the Trafalgar Square area.
Had the champagne afternoon tea for chocoholics. Service was similar to that on Cunard ships, nothing was too much trouble. They willingly changed sandwiches for two fussy eaters and additional ones were made available. The selection of cakes was excellent and the chocolate chip scones with a chocolate mousse spread, superb.
Hi all. Visited this Hotel a week ago. Great Please. Great Service. Top place. I do travel a lot from Paris to London. And must say that is one of my most favorite places. How ever, I have put 4 starts and not 5 because of the restaurants on top. Not great. To expensive. And food is not 5 star. But overall, great Hotel
It’s so rare that a hotel exceeds expectations, but I have to say that this always has . The rooms are wonderful , the staff go out of their way to make your stay just that little bit more special ... particular credit to the front of house team, and Natalie Tam. I was given a very warm welcome and also offered a room upgrade, which was wonderful . There is an Executive Lounge for Hilton Honors members , and this is well positioned, overlooking Hyde Park . I had a great stay , and will certainly be coming back ! Strongly recommend
I purchased tickets to see Mowtown the Musical for my wife, daughter and myself. We decided we would stay in The Hilton on Park Lane for the weekend. From the moment we arrived we couldn’t fault anything. The staff were most courteous, polite and professional. We had breakfast on both mornings in the Podium Restaurant, the food was excellent, tasty and most enjoyable. We booked a table in Galvin at Windows for the Friday night. Having eaten there before we were not disappointed, the food, the staff and the venue were absolutely out of this world. The staff were so accommodating in spending time, explaining the different choices on the menu. To say we were overwhelmed by the experience, would be an understatement. I can’t report one negative aspect of our stay and we’re already planning our next visit. Well done and Thankyou to all members of staff 👏👏👏
My wife and I decided to stay here for our 7th anniversary and we really had a fantastic time. I told the hotel that it was a special occasion and when we checked in we were told that to help with our celebration they were upgrading us to a suite, what a nice start. The suite was very nice, good sized bedroom and a very nice sitting room. There was also a walk in wardrobe and a huge bathroom full of amenities. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and it contributed to a memorable stay. Breakfast was included and the buffet was excellent. A great choice of hot and cold breakfast foods with some very interesting fresh juices that I had not seen at breakfast before. Spinach, kale and kiwi, lime juice, rhubarb together with more standard orange and cloudy apple juice. All the stations were regularly replenished and everything was fresh and very tasty. The staff were all fantastic. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and they all seemed to have a smile on their face and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Abdul the Guest Relations Manager stood out as he made sure that our stay was as memorable as possible. A nice extra touch was that we received a bowl of fruit, cupcakes and some delicious pastries with a note to say ‘Happy Anniversary’. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to have the chance to stay there again in the near future.
Stayed here on business. The place is in front of Hyde Park and yet offers privacy. This is a quiet neighborhood. The place doesn't offer much options for activities but Knightsbridge is just walking distance. There is also a casino in the premises. Breakfast food is good although after I while you realize they serve the same for every morning. Rooms are clean, same with the hallways.
