As a facility, the White House is clean and centrally located; personally I found the management not to be "customer friendly" and accommodating. For this reason, I will not recommend this facility when I tell others of my European experience. I would recommend this facility conditionally- good location with lots to do, facility is in good condition, but lacks warmth.
Good location near underground, shopping, sights, Park, Zoo, parking available nearby as well as on street.
The hotel was a good hotel. The location was good. There was some nearby bars and restaurants in walking distance. Overall it was a good stay.
We loved the location of this hotel... 1/2 block from the Regent Park tube station; easy 1/2 hour walk to Picadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square and 15 minute tube ride to London Eye Square. The room was small, despite being an upgrade, and the bed was only a double - unusual in this day and age to find - but it was very comfortable and well appointed. The restaurant was superb; the buffet breakfast worth every penny and the (check-in) staff were excellent. The morning reception people weren't quite as pleasant, but they weren't rude either. Would definitely stay again, and hopefully for longer next time!
Small rooms and a little expensive for what it is. The location is amazing though.
The staff was excellent and friendly. The location of the hotel and the proximity of the tube stops made it very easy to get around. The main drawback of the place was the cleanliness of the room and the lack of working outlets
Friends and I stayed here for eight nights in two "classic" rooms and enjoyed our stay. It's very conveniently located within short walking distance of a few tube stations, and under a half-hour walk from the Euston and St, Pancras train stations, British Museum, British Library, Oxford St. and Marylebone High St. shopping areas, etc. Unfortunately, a couple of very noisy men were in the room next to us, with several guests, and started partying loudly after 11p.m. for 3 or 4 nights in a row. Only a door was between the "classic" rooms so we heard everything! Perhaps we should have phoned the desk, but didn't because we wanted no retaliatory nastiness from the men. There is no sound-proofing between these rooms, as one would expect in a 4-star hotel room. The hotel should have placed the four of us in the adjoining rooms, and this would have helped somewhat; however even the friends on the other side of us heard the noise generated by these men!! For this reason, I rate the hotel 4 instead of 5 stars. Everything else about our stay was positive... Breakfast was excellent, a generous buffet with many choices including an omelet station, cappuccinos and lattes if requested. The staff everywhere were very pleasant and helpful. Rooms, while small, were nicely appointed!
Nice hotel, Wonderful staff, bar, breakfast and restaurant. Very convenient to the Great Portland Street underground station, a Pret a Manger, the Green Man Pub, and Regents Park for walking/jogging/biking. I had a "Superior" room with two "queen" beds. more the size of a single bed. Room was very clean and well appointed. bathroom sink clogged during my stay, the wireless connection is marginal, and not all of the outlets worked at the desk. Overall, worth the stay
Such a graet stay! mainly because of the staff and service. Locations is great very close to tube. ( standart room bathroom is tiny.)
Overall it worked. Easy to get to. clean. friendly staff. We were first given a room that was suited more for someone who needed handicap amenities and asked to switch rooms mostly do to the bathroom door making noise. They were very accommodating. The new room as smaller and my feet hung off the bed by morning. I am 5'5". The first bed was longer but we did not want to request another switch. All else was great!
The rooms were somewhat small, but average by european standards. Breakfast was very pricey. There was a take out bar to get coffee and sandwiches with reasonable prices and the staff was very pleasant. The hotel was near 3 tube stations, which made it very easy to get around. Regents Park was only a block away and very nice to walk though.
Good hotel, but actually expected to be a better one. Lobby area looked amazing, Christmas decorations were fantastic too! Room itself was quite small (and look sort of different to what we saw on their website), we also thought our bathtub itseld could be cleaner! other than that room was cosy and clean.
My boyfriend and I stayed for three nights. Very comfortable bed and nice staff! Close to the attractions and very close to public transportation. The Sightseeing bus stops like right in front of the hotel and tickets can be bought at the hotel. We ordered room service and the food was really good. We would book this hotel again!
The location is perfect in a safe area with a tube stop a block from the entrance providing easy acess to London sites. The room , particularly the bathroom was very small(room for only one person to stand). The room was very dusty but the staff tried to clean and make up for the problems. I would stay if travelling alone.
Not having been in London in over 10 years I took a stab in the dark and ht the nail on the head. Very close to Regents Park so pack your walking shoes. This hotel also has a hair dryer, in room coffee maker, and an outlet for American appliances. It's a nice walk to the shopping district and restaurants. I will definitely return. Oh - and the Eye and all other sites are just a tube ride away or a nice walk.
From the friendly staff to the ability to plug in your devices w/o a converter - wonderful! `There is also a hair dryer in each room. Nice room - well kept and modern. free wifi!
Rooms very small and the sink was leaking onto the floor. Bathroom wasn't big enough to fit one male. However, it was clean and very well located for getting around London.
this hotel was very plush. We paid extra to get the "Level" service -- otherwise our room would have been very tiny. The bed was huge, and there were plugs for American appliances - a definite plus. The British breakfast and snacks, wine and beer were great - but again we paid extra. The shower was strange because you really had to climb to get into it. Overall though, a great, if somewhat expensive experience.
The location is perfect. One tube station is just steps away (Great Portland Street) and another (Regents Park) is just is about a city block further. The hotel itself offers everything you could possibly need or want. Our room (Superior Room) was better than we expected. It would compare to the nicer rooms at Harrah's in Las Vegas for those who are familiar with those. On London standards it was VERY large. They provide free internet service in the common areas of the lobby. Convenience stores for soda and such were also just steps away. Original Bus Tour (which is a must-do) stops right outside on Albany Street.
Comfortable and quiet. Within walking distance of most tourist attractions. :-)
