This was a terrific experience. The apartment was wonderful - exactly as pictured and completely fit our family's needs. It was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. Directions and check-in were easy. It was helpful to have an elevator. We especially appreciated that there were two sets of keys - which doesn't always happen in rental apartments. The host was communicative and responsive. I would highly recommend this apartment for a stay in London.

Great flat with a lot of space. We are a family with 2 teen kids and it was great to have space for everyone to decompress after hours of exploring London. The neighbourhood is tremendous. Quick walk to train. Many cares pubs and restaurants. Also a Sainabury’s around the corner. Highly recommend Steve was a wonderful host and answered any and all questions promptly and gave excellent instructions.

We enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. The location was wonderful. We always felt safe. Very central to lots of restaurants. 10 min walk to the London Bridge station, but to get to the underground it's a 15 min walk. The space itself was as described. It was very spacious, with two bathrooms! It does not have central air but the portable air conditioning unit was very effective. It did not really reach the second bedroom but that bedroom had a fan and cooled down nicely at night despite being there during a hot period. The kitchen was well stocked. There were leftover condiments in the fridge that I wish were thrown out. Some things need updating, such as the towels as there were bleach-like stains. Needs more towel racks in the bathrooms. The towels are large and thick, which means they take a while to dry. One mattress was more comfortable then the other but overall we slept well. Lots of sheets and pillows available. I do think that the space needs a deep clean. It was generally clean but the less used spaces and base boards needed some help as well as the walk-in shower. The walk-in shower had what looked like mold in the caulking. There isn't a fan in the bathroom and water pooled in these areas, making them moist. The whole apartment could use some freshening up, like a new coat of paint. The host was wonderful and very responsive. Directions to access the space were very clear. He gave lots of recommendations for places to eat and answered questions quickly.

Great Stay on Bermondsey Street

We loved staying at this conveniently located flat. It was perfect for our family of four with plenty of room to spread out and a nice living room to gather in. It was also very clean which was one of our highest priorities. The host was very responsive before our arrival, during, and after. We would highly recommend this property to friends and family. We would also stay here again!

I’d give this property a 7/10 rating. With a little work it could easily be a 10/10.Let’s start with the positives:*Price is right*Really nice living space and kitchen with lots of room*Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms*Kitchen is nicely outfitted with lots of dishes and utensils*Lots of nice restaurants, bars, and coffee shops nearby*Walking distance to Borough Market*Really quiet building and street*Host was super communicative and responsiveHere are some areas for improvement:*A bit far from the Underground and train stations*Beds were uncomfortable and no mirrors in the bedrooms*Needs a deep clean in the kitchen (sticky floors, some stuck food on the microwave*Lots of partially used food and condiments left in the refrigerator and freezer*Too much “stuff” in the cabinets and shelves (bathrooms had lots of left over products, clothing in all of the wardrobes and dresser drawers, random stuff laying about throughout the apartment)*Weak sporadic wifi *Really needs A/C units installed. It was 32 degrees C while we were in town and it was unbearably hot in the apartment. At one point, my iPhone quit charging because it overheated. Only one, very weak fan available for two bedrooms. With just a little investment, some updated bedroom furniture, and a better cleaning service this apartment would be phenomenal! Many thanks to our VRBO host who was always responsive and genuinely seemed to care about guest satisfaction.

Good location, no AC

The flat is large and in a good location as other reviewers have said. We stayed in London in the latter half of June and I knew it could be very warm then. Therefore, I booked the flat with the understanding there was AC, as stated in the listing. In fact, the weather was hot. After arriving, we found no AC and the host confirmed there was no AC. The listing was just wrong. Because of this, the flat was very uncomfortable. Also, the clothes washer we were counting on using was dirty and had mold in it. My wife refused to use it. My son cleaned it out somewhat and used it. The microwave oven was also dirty.

Great Stay

This apartment was exactly what we needed for a perfect stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the location could not have been better to either catch the bus or walk a short distance to the tube station. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect flat for a holiday visit!!

We had a great stay at Steve’s flat! The location is fabulous! The apartment is just off Bermondsey Road - so charming with many terrific restaurants. It is about 5 minutes from a bus stop and 10 minutes from the Tube. The flat itself is very nice especially the main living space. It is roomier than the photos show and has a great view of the Shard. The second bathroom is also a big plus. The beds were really comfortable and the apartment had all the necessities. My only suggestion would be to freshen up the bedrooms and bathrooms. Although they were perfectly fine for our stay they are a bit dated and could use a fresh coat of paint, a little organization, and some towel racks in the bathroom. However, this was a small thing and we loved our stay, our communications with Steven were terrific, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing Stay

Steve’s place was everything we needed. He was very accommodating and even allowed us to check in early. The space had everything we hoped for and was in a prime location in the city. When I come back to London, this will be the very first spot. I hope to stay again.

We had a wonderful stay! The Flat was as stylish and spacious as described. It’s even more comfortable than we expected - very comfortable beds, plenty of linens, including extra towels. The kitchen was better equipped than my home. The Host provided everything we could possibly require. We felt so welcome. Kitchen, dining and living all together in an open generous space. What we weren’t expecting was how fun the local restaurant scene would be! We travelled around the world in a few blocks. There was so much to do, even when it rained! The Host was very easy to reach before, during and after our stay.

Beautiful flat

Great flat by The Shard

Our family of 5 (3 boys ages 17, 19 & 21) had a very comfortable stay. It was the perfect flat and location to explore London for the first time. Located in the trendy Bermondsey neighborhood it offers great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. It is a short 1/2 mile walk to the London Bridge station and The Shard, which offers 360-degree views of London for up to 40 miles. Since it was our first time in London we did the hop on/off bus and the stop was a short 10min walk near the Tower Bridge. Liked that the flat was not located in a busy touristy area (most folks seemed to be locals grabbing a beer and meal for lunch or after work), which meant streets weren’t super crowded. It was the last leg of a 17day vacay so also appreciated the washer and dryer. Steve was absolutely amazing…10 out of 10! He provided detailed checkin instructions (w/pictures) and was super prompt to respond to any questions like where is the best local grocery store. We had a late afternoon flight and he graciously allowed a late checkout which we so appreciated. My 21 year old loved London and wants to return and said he wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Thank you!

Spacious apartment in a great location.

What a nice apartment! After traveling in other parts of Europe, we come to this apartment as the last leg of our trip and it feels lavish. And it’s close to everything! We walked to the Tower of London, Shakespeare’s Globe, Borough market; public transport is nearby. Nice shops and restaurants within 5 minutes’ walk. Watch house coffee was our favorite morning stop. Steve was quick to respond to any questions and requests. We had a great stay!

Lovely in London

Everything about this property was perfect for us including size, location, amenities, communication, cleanliness etc. We loved the charm and quiet of the neighborhood as well as the ease of access to public transport. It did get a little hot and would benefit from an extra fan or two, especially in the second bedroom, but we were able to cool it down to comfort level by the time we went to sleep. We loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit London.

Great apartment in great location

We loved this apartment and Bermondsey is a fantastic location. Apartment is spacious and well appointed with everything we needed as well as being quiet. There are loads of restaurants and coffee shops just outside the mews and Borough Market is a 10 minute walk. The neighbourhood had a great vibe with everyone out and about enjoying the London Summer. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in London.

Great apartment in London

This apartment was first rate in almost every aspect. There was air conditioning but only with a portable unit. We kept the windows open and used the portable unit to help cool the living room and so we ended up very comfortable. The apartment is well appointed with new appliances and comfortable furniture. We especially liked the beds and the living room furniture, but everything in the place was inviting. The neighborhood was full of bars, restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops so that one had lovely choices about where to go. It is also an exciting neighborhood with streets filled with people, mostly young, and local shops enjoying brisk trade. We wish we could have stayed longer. We are happy to recommend this apartment as a great place to stay while you are in London.
