I have stayed in October 2017 for a night for the second time in the dolphin ( last time was 2013). It was as assumed and the last time only without the breakfast since I had to leave early for the airport. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff very helpful as the last time. I can recommend this hotel for anyone who is on a budget and looking for a good location. Thanks, I will come again for sure.

Good place to stay for low cost and clean accommodation. Breakfast was okish room small outdated but clean. Staff very helpful. Good location close to Paddington but not to close. 5 mins from Hyde park. Would stay again. Good value for money.

Recognition to the staff! Very friendly and excellent customer service. The building is beautiful , perfect for those who wants to experience old London buildings.. It doesn't have elevator, hence for those travelling with small kids or elderlies, request for a lower levels floor.

The room I was given, 371, was at the top of the building. The final set of stairs was very narrow and and not easy to climb. The hotel is a converted Victorian building so the servings accomodation would have been at the top, since the tiny rooms and narrow stairs. The room was beardy a single let alone a double room. There was nowhere to unpack clothes, except a rail for hanging coats etc. The shower and toliet room was tiny and stank of a bad drain smell. The taps,on the shower were labelled incorrectly, cold was hot but the other tap didn't have a cover. The breakfast room was downstairs and overcrowded. The choice of continental breakfast was poor, thin white bread for toast, tinned orange segments and peaches in syrup. There were cereals in dispenser, but my choice of bran flakes tasted stale. The staff were harrised and didn't speak. I will never again stay here, a truly awful experience.

Decent location, and average price. Room was a triple room, and was very dated and the curtain was half falling down in the room.. but the bathroom was really modern and clean. Was in the basement down some steep steps so not good for disables access. Biggest issue was the noise - walls are very thin and the people in the room above me were VERY noisy 24/7 - I could hear every footstep and conversation.. perhaps not the most considerate guests. Would recommend for a couple of nights as a budget hotel.

Booked two night apartment at Dolphin Hotel London on arrival only one night booked there first night booked at Park Plaza Victoria where we had a standard room. We were not informed on this arrangement. Tried to ring customer service but no responce after 30 mins now waiting for a response after an email with Amoma.

For the first time I was in the same building at the Shakespeare Hotel This is my second time, nice staff, no air conditioning in the hotel, even though it is a budget hotel. I think it's a must., Where I come from - air conditioning is basic, but I knew before I came there was no air conditioning in the hotel. This time I came with the family to visit London's site, the location of the hotel is good and convenient near the Paddington station. At the hotel we got a room on the third floor which is a lot of stairs, for those who are hard You have to ask the hotel staff to get your suitcases up. The rooms were clean and the shower was small but was fine, and at a continental breakfast was fine. In short, those looking for low price and good location recommend the hotel

The hotel is very nice overlooking the Norfolk square garden, 1 minute walk from Paddington station,, friendly clean hotel, nice service, poor breakfast but still fine. Many hotels next to each other in the same building. You receive more than what you pay for :) i would definitely come back...

The hotel was very conveniently located about 100 m from the subway entrance. Old house, converted to hotel. We made a mistake with booking, but the staff accommodated us very kindly. Rooms are clean, beds OK, good showers. Breakfast is OK, but that's it. All in all, friendly staff, reasonable place to spend the night, not stay for longer.

The location of the hotel is very good, just a few minutes walk from Paddington station. It's a very basic hotel, but reasonably clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. There's no elevator, so if you have luggage it can probably get interesting to drag it up to the third or fourth floors.
