Delayed check in 1-20 mins Horrified at the inappropriate carry on from other guests while checking in Disappointed that such a big hotel group allow this carry on Woken 4 times by maid no lie on here Complained by email 3 time and very disappointed in the reply from manager Would not recommend this hotel for couples get away

This is my second stay at this Hotel and i would recommend it to anyone visiting this side of London or the Olympic Stadium. The reception Staff are great and very helpful, the gym is good and the rooms are modern and clean. I am here again for the final weekend of the World Athletics Champs and wouldn't stay anywhere else!

I visited Crowne plaza in need of a time out and I was awarded with just that. My room size was perfect, there was a robe and slippers available for me to use. The bath tub was a great size and there was also a separate shower cubicle in the bathroom. I do wish there had been better lighting. The bed was a dream to sleep on and provided a great nights sleep. The spa facilities are all in good order and clean. The pool is a bit on the smaller sides for those who like to do long laps. There's a nice little sauna & jacuzzi as well as a cute gym for those who want to work up a sweat. The staff are polite and well mannered. I loved waking up to a breakfast voucher which had been slid under my room door. Breakfast was great, lovely selection and well cooked food. I definitely recommend for those who want to be close to the city of London but do not want the hustle and bustle of inner city life. The views of the Thames and the nearby sunbourne yacht are all very picturesque and make this a great location. Transport links are excellent, there's a nearby bus stop and also DLR runs behind the hotel.

We stayed here for a short weekend trip to london which included a trip to the Olympic stadium so thought that it would be a good location for access to the DLR. It fits the bill very well. The location includes good running or walking routes, a Tescos express next door, plenty of coffee shops in the area and a 3 min walk to the DLR. I've given the hotel 3 stars as its good but nothing really stands out about it? It wasn't "special" in the way some Crowne Plazas are and offered nothing you wouldn't find in a normal Holiday Inn. They have no club room and the bed sizes and room space is also pretty average. We had a view of a car park so the view is certainly nothing to pay for. We did have an issue on the Satuday night at around 02:30 when a drunk man was causing an issue in the corridor outside our room but a quick call to reception and they came up and swiftly sorted it. It woke up the kids and it took some time for them to go back to sleep, which is a shame but thanks to the hotel for the swift response. All in all I would stay here again although unless I was visiting the docklands itself there are other IHG hotels in London who recognise my Spire Elite status and offer upgrades and club access. None of which were available here. Oh, parking was £18 a night for those looking to park onsite. That's pretty average for London I think. Just make sure you give them your reg number when you check in and you pay when you leave.

Clean, quite hotel about 25 minutes outside of central London via the Docklands Light Rail (DLR)/tube. The propety has views of the Thames, including the Emirates Air Line cable cars, so try to get a room facing the river. The staff is excellent, particularly Sasha at reception and Jonathan at Concierge! WiFi is spotty and best in the area of the business center, which is a table near a printer. They have a casual restaurant, with street side dining, and bar but I never had the need to visit them. There is a nice walking area along the Thames with an opportunity to cross a bridge (four or so flights of stairs with an elevator) into another neighborhood with a grocery strore. Plus, you can stand on the bridge at sunrise or sunset for some nice photos with our without airplanes flying overhead from London City Airport. It is a short walk to the Emirates Air Lines cable cars where you can cross the Thames and then take a 10 - 15 bus ride to Greenwich, a world heritage site with the famous Maritime Museum, Prime Meridian, Cutty Sark, and outdoor Greenwich Market.

I currently staying at this hotel. The location is great for Excel which is the reason for my visit. Shame about dirty towels and bedding in the room. I am also supportive of hotels wanting you to reuse towels but there is nowhere to hang wet towels. Not sure what else to say!! Pretty disappointed hence the review while still at the hotel!

Overall good hotel for weekend break if visiting O2 or Excel. Just by the cable car which is the quickest way to O2 and costs £3.50 each way. It does stop at 11 pm though. Two gripes - The pillows were lumpy. Hot breakfast buffet couldn't keep pace with the volume of guests so much had run out and really slow at filling up. What we had was pretty good quality but gave up our usual leisurely hotel breakfast and left. We had been placed in the bar area which was a bit annoying as they were so full. Free newspaper, polite staff.

As a regular visitor to London both on business and for leisure I often stay at hotels in the Docklands area now as Central London prices are becoming ludicrous. This hotel has everything you need including good parking and easy access via the Docklands light Railway and the London Underground to the whole of central London. It is also close to London city airport, a short walk (two minutes) from ExCeL and is right opposite the Emirates air line across to the O2. Crowne Plaza set a good standard without being over-the-top and as an IHG member I was delighted to be ushered into a private dining area for breakfast.

We always choose this lovely hotel for our stay in the London Docklands area as it is well located with on-site parking, and is close to the DLR, Emirates Cable Car and the O2. Staff are polite, professional and helpful. Breakfast is fabulous and you are seated in a lovely clean and welcoming area with excellent choice of hot and cold food. Bar is great too. We were lucky to be upgraded this time and had a spacious superior room with a great view on the 6th floor. The room was clean and well appointed. I did however miss the 'Sleep Kit' that is usually in the room and wasn't sure if this was no longer available? The surrounding area is vibrant and busy with plenty of restaurants and bars around and a small tescos for convenience. We didn't have time to use the spa, pool or restaurant but they looked lovely. We will certainly be back again and recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel. Close to DLR. Very nice and serviceminded breakfastladies that totally made our day. The pool was nice. We are absolutly coming back next time in London. But they doublecharged the room and it took two weeks to get my money back.
