We just popped up to london for the day and decided to booked this hotel ...when we arrived we were greeted by the reception staff who were all very polite ...check in was easy and one of the staff ....Robert made us feel very welcome ....giving us an upgrade ...the room was very nice and clean and everything was catered for ...great nights sleep and breakfast was very good ....I would definitely stay there again ...I'm in the hospitality business and I must say the staff are a credit to your company ..

In the hotel for a few days while working at Excel and couldn't fault the service and staff. Thanks for looking after me so well! From check in to check out I couldn't fault anything and will definitely be staying again on my next business trip..... thanks again!

We visited this hotel in November last year. When we had to go back to the area there was no question about the hotel. The room was very comfortable, excellent a/c and amenities. The bed and sheets are the best you can find in a hotel. A good night's sleep and a delicious breakfast. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Lovely room with a window we could open. Yay! It means a lot to me as AC makes me ill. I had forgotten a few items and there is nowhere to buy things nearby. No chemist etc. The onsite beautician helped me out. Very grateful for that. The pool is nice and you can see out through windows. The best was for me the beds. So comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was good but then I don't eat cooked breakfast so cereal and pastries were great. Jams and honey too.

We recently visited London to attend the Guns 'n' Roses gig and stayed at the hotel for one night. I booked the 2 rooms around 6 months ago when I booked the gig tickets. When we arrived at the hotel the staff were very welcoming and efficient. I had booked 2 rooms, as our daughter and her husband were also with us. My husband and I were allocated a room on the 4th floor and our daughter on the 6th. We were hoping to be closer together but the hotel was very busy. When we arrived at our room we were very surprised to find that we had been allocated one with full disabled facilities! The room was pleasant and clean but had a slightly 'shabby' feeling. The bathroom was actually a wet room and totally accessible for a wheelchair user. However, some of these facilities made it very difficult for us to use. The sink was very low and awkward for us to use. The shower had a seat and a handle, which I managed to bang myself on several times, and nowhere to put shampoos etc. Because of the aids around the toilet it was difficult to reach the toilet paper as it was in such an awkward position. We didn't have time to complain as we had to be changed and out for the gig. I know the hotel was busy but as I booked 6 months in advance and was the 'lead booker' I did find this disappointing. Despite this we did have a comfortable night and breakfast next morning was very good.

Had a one night stay. Platinum recognized, received 600 welcome points. Got upgraded to a room facing the outside (instead of the parking lot). It's on 3rd floor and limit view but still good enough for me. Service is great. Had marked special travel purpose and receive a received a warm welcome. Thanks to all the staffs there. Very close to DLR station, kind of good location. Breakfast is not included but you can purchase it during booking with less than 10 pounds. Great value. Nice food. But actually we didn't receive a good service. We were led to sit in the 'members space' area and provide coffee and tea. After that we would never been approached by any server. While a lady kept asking other tables if they would like an omelete or pancake, we have never been served with anything. Not that good feeling. But overall the breakfast is good. There is a shuttle during business day to canary wharf. Quick and very convenient for people who want to be there, at lease on Monday. It seems not many people using the service on Monday. Cons: The back side of the hotel is facing a parking lot. Totally no view. No business center, although it is displayed on their site. Gym closes at 10pm. Personally these are not great cons for me. I'll still recommend this hotel.

We had booked an executive suite at the Crowne Plaza to stay the nights before and after our daughter’s wedding, which was at a Docklands venue. The hotel was of an excellent standard, the staff were kind, helpful and efficient, the suite was clean, spacious and well-furnished, the air-conditioning worked well, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. We slept well (and so did the car, in reasonably priced convenient parking). It was a real shame that somewhere as good as this could be let down by such a trivial thing as breakfast. We found plenty of options but none of them worth eating. The bread, for toasting (by the typical conveyor belt toaster), was so cheap and nasty that it came out cooked on the outside and soggy and bitter on the inside. How can you get something as basic as bread wrong? The cooked breakfast was even worse, I was silly enough to try it even though I could see how awful it was. Almost raw bacon swimming in greasy liquid, sausages cooked on one side only, grey and soggy on the other, packet hash browns cooked until they were the texture of cardboard and tasting of stale fat, shrivelled cooked-dry tomatoes, black and shrivelled mushrooms floating in scummy water. The crowning glory was the “fried eggs”. These had been poured raw by the ”chef” into those little retaining rings, then half-cooked on the hotplate, then served with the top layer a semi-raw, tepid slime of egg white and undercooked yolk. I watched people come up, look, shake their head and walk away again. I like eggs in the morning so I asked the “chef” to re-cook two for me. No reply, a blank, dead eyed glare and eggs that were overdone on both sides. I complained to the “head waiter/greeter”. “Don’t tell me, tell the chef” was his only response. I have to say there were a lot of people in the dining room reluctantly eating breakfast, I presume, particularly in the light of the comments of those gathered round the toaster, that it was on the “I paid for it therefore I will eat it” basis. Unwilling to risk anything more out of that kitchen, we gave lunch, which we had hoped to eat at the hotel before the wedding, a miss. Anyway, don’t worry unduly, there are places nearby to grab some decent breakfast. Eggs Royale, decent latte, a properly cooked tasty fresh full English. Rather pleasant places, where you can look out over the river and sit outside on a sunny day. It does make me a little dubious about staying Crowne Plaza again, it’s not always convenient to have to go out to eat, especially when you’ve already paid for the privilege.

We wanted a hotel near to the 02 arena which is one reason why we chose this. An added bonus was that right nearby there was an Emirates cable car service which went to the 02! That was such a good, quick and easy way to travel there, however they shut at 10pm so can't be used to get back after a concert. The hotel reception staff were very friendly and polite. Our room was nice and big with a good bathroom. We needed extra towels and within five minutes of phoning for them, we got them. Our rate included anything that was in the mini bar, which was explained to us at reception, otherwise we wouldn't have known! Breakfast was also included which was very good - great choice and the breakfast area was clean and nicely set out. The breakfast staff were helpful and friendly. The only slight criticism was as we arrived so early we knew we couldn't check in, so asked a member of reception staff to let us know by phone once the room became available. We never got a call, but when we went back to hotel after 1pm the room was ready. They had to refill mini bar though, so it had probably only just been finished. All in all, would definitely recommend, especially if going to the 02. The surrounding area is quite nice as well with restaurants and riverside walks.

Lovely modern hotel in a great dockside location. A short walk to the Royal Victoria DLR station so easy tube links. Room was really nice and breakfast was good. Friendly and helpful staff, I gave the concierge a challenge of repairing my watch strap which was accepted and completed within minutes -no problem! Thanks for an enjoyable stay, we will be back.

We stayed at this hotel on 31 May for a couple of nights and this is our third stay. The rooms are clean and well serviced, and we find it exceptionally good for transport links. This time however there were one or two minor issues which were not rectified. I did request an extra towel for my daughter during the stay which didn't materialise. Also I felt that the service in the bar restaurant had deteriorated quite a lot and lacked communication. Promotions were on for free drinks with the main course which they were pointing out to customers but the drinks were still added to the bill. I asked for a plain naan bread and received a plate of toast and waitresses were chatting whilst our drinks were waiting on the bar. I also thought that the restaurant menu was very limited and expensive hence the empty restaurant. On the plus side the hostess Samantha was an absolute diamond, she looked after us so well we couldn't thank her enough. Kass the concierge was great and gave us lots of tips on places to visit, and park, he was so helpful and always smiling. Robert on the desk was also great, answering any questions we had including our IT issues, nothing was too much trouble. These 3 members of staff really are a credit to the hotel and made us feel extremely welcome and really looked after us. We will definitely return!
