We stayed here recently for a convention and loved our time spent there. We spent three nights while attending a convention at the ExCel centre and have to say, we have never had a quieter room away from the bustle of the city. The room was a nice size, the attached restaurant was wonderful and we were able to get a great night sleep without hearing anything from the hallway which we never experienced before. We did however get woken up by the cleaning staff our last morning but we forgot to put the do not disturb out before we went to bed. Other than that, we would gladly book another stay here as we loved the peace and quiet we got away from the outside world.
Visited for three nights with my 13 yr old daughter whilst attending the World Athletics finals at the nearby Olympic Stadium. We arrived early to check-in but this wasn't an issue - the duty manager recognised my IHG member status and allowed us access to our room several hours early. The room was brilliant with a lovely view over the marina. Executive room, so had a free stocked minibar which was restocked daily. We also got a late check out because of my IHG status (a fantastic perk). Breakfast each day was really good (lots of choice both for full English and continental and superb quality). Small private dining area for IHG members (less crowded and quieter). Special thanks to Richard who greeted us at breakfast like old friends each day (made us feel so welcome). Also a mention to the concierge (cant remember his name - black guy with funky hair) - really friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant at lunch was really good. Pool was nice for a swim (although limits on when kids can use it). Hotel is in a great location if you need to be close to Stratford. Takes about 45 min's to get to Euston. Close to a Tesco express and several restaurants nearby. Would not hesitate to return.
Lovely clean hotel. Rooms good size. Nice area out of London city. Good breakfast. Staff friendly. Would recommend for people to stay near the O2 as it’s a bit of a trek into city by underground. Emirates cable car just across the road.
I'm not really one for writing reviews but on this occasion it's a must! My wife and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza for our wedding anniversary, as we wanted a getaway, and what a wonderful break we had. From the moment we checked in, to the moment we left, we felt completely welcomed and spoilt for choice. The hotel seems to be managed very well and nothing was too much trouble for the Crowne Plaza team. Breakfast variety was great, dinner was great and hotel bar and selection of drinks, cocktails was great....not to mention the lovely view we had from our hotel room! I have stayed in a number of hotels for getaway breaks and this stay has been the best in a long while. Recommend it highly! THANK YOU Crowne Plaza, you made our anniversary weekend memorable for all the right reasons!
Very convenient Location near Excel Exhibition Centre. Just walking distance to attend shows . Hotel and Rooms are Clean, Staff is Warm and Caring, Breakfast spread is good, Helath Centre and Spa is good, Bar and Restaurant is very functional,
The hotel was extremely good for us as one of our party has to use a mobility scooter at all times. We were given a complimentary adjoining room and the accessible room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The food was wonderful and very good value. I liked the choice of wines too. There were plenty of nearby restaurants, two express type food stores , and lots of cafes etc. Transport for us was by taxi from Kings Cross and expensive but I believe there is a tube station nearby. The cable car also crosses the river.
Very nice hotel, good service, good rooms and close to the DLR for access to public transport. I chose this location because I prefer to use City Airport where possible when flying into London and this location is quite close - three DLR stops from City Airport and a change at Canning Town for one stop (10-15 mins).
Travelling for business I took this quiet hotel to be closed to Canary Wharf. And very closed to transportation. Services on a top. For runners they give plans to know how to go according to the distance you wanna do. Nice pool. I only regret the bar is a too quiet : no client after 11.00 pm... Quiet hotel. Room was clean. Nice stay.
My partner and I had a lovely 2 night stay here as winners of a prize draw. The staff were friendly and efficient and the room was very clean and comfortable, would definitely stay here again. There was some noise from passing aircraft but to be expected when you are next to the airport.
Not much to do outside the hotel although the cable car over the Thames is great and takes you towards Greenwich which is superb. The hotel is decent enough, the rooms are good; clean, decent size and nice bathroom. The bar area lacks a bit of atmosphere. The swimming pool is ok but looks a bit negelected......maybe it just needs better lighting. Now the positives......I have never come across a hotel with better staff. From reception, room service/cleaning, the bar and the restaurant the service was beyond excellent. Service with a smile (and a chat) and everyone very helpful. I must mention Samantha in particular who was between the bar and restaurant area and is an absolute diamond who made it her business to make sure everyone was happy. The food was very good and the buffet breakfast offered plenty of options. Definitely will stay there again next time we are in that neck of the woods.
