Great location and great on a budget

Super uncomfortable mattress (caused back ache and bad uncomfortable sleep). The weather was beautiful but it meant with the heat the room became a sauna. No fans or air con or anything to cool it down. You Get the basics which can’t be faulted but if you're looking for comfort this isnt it. Also staying with students still in halls so lots of noise and door banging. Shared areas such as kitchen were also unclean

I did ask for a fan when I arrived and did not get one so I had a very uncomfortable first night but one arrived on the second day and it was okay after that the room was basic no amenities no TV but it was clean. The bed was comfortable. Had a lovely desk to work from and it was a five minute walk from Caledonian Road underground station which I was happy with if you want a cheap place to stay in London just not in term time Chapter Islington is your place
