This was a great place to stay. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms clean, great location. Daniel helped to get the best tours available. Would definitely stay here again. Great value. Enjoyed breakfasts at a quaint next door cafe, an added benefit to staying here

Arenal hostel was the best hostel on our trip. The whole spot is just amazing with all his hangingmates, pools and bars. The staff ist very friendly and especially Daniel who organized all our trips was really really helpful. He not only booked our tours in la Fortuna but also our shuttle to Monteverde and helped us with all our things. Definitely recommend this hostel!

We had a trip of a lifetime. I travelled with my sister and daughter. It was low season and we received royal treatment. Daniel Rodriguez saw that our room was upgraded and assisted with the plans for our day trips His recommendations were great and fit with individual and group interests. He checked after each trip that we were happy. Ely Martinez also gave assistance in answering questions. We had a special time in La Fortuna and a great view of the Arenal volcano. Muchas gracias.

i stayed for 3 nights in this hostel and the room was super nice, very clean and comfortable they have a very nice wet bar with a hot water swimming pool and hammocks. I meet Daniel the Concierge he is the best he made all my trip giving me the best deals on tours compared with others and all the tips to travel around I had one of the best experiences on my trip for Costa Rica. Thank you so much for everything all the staff were super nice!

The hostel conveniently lost our already-paid for reservation. They made a big show of going through a bunch of printed-out papers one-by-one, looking for our names. Repeatedly, as if continuing to do it would somehow result in them finding a reservation they clearly decided not to honor. We didn't have international calling, so we couldn't call Chase and explain what happened. Since it was our first time using Chase Travel points for a hotel, we thought there was a possibility the fault was ours. They tried to get us to pay for a room, but when the price was way higher, we just walked. Later we used our points at 4 other hotels in Costa Rica with no problems and realized we'd just gotten cheated. The Lonely Planet guidebook actually warns that this is a recurring problem with this hotel, but we took a chance anyway and got burned. Don't stay here. The staff may be nice, but only after they've tried to cheat you.

Nice beds, great stay, felt like paradise (see photo) The manager Daniel Rodriguez helped us a lot. When we forgot our clothes there in the washing machine he helped us sent it to our next hostel. Great thanks to him.

My stay at The Arenal hostel resort can be summed up in one word, awesome!! I was so impressed with amenities, including the spa and pool and felt the quality of stay was so much better than a hostel. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast was great and my family loved the hammock lounge!! Danny the manager was really great and we could see how he goes the above and beyond to make his guest happy!! We would defiantly recommend this hotel to others visiting the area!

Great way to start our Costa Rica vacation! Had a fantastic experience that we decided to stay a second night. Danny was amazing at recommending tours and even went out of his way to help us plan out our trip after La Fortuna. Best prices and unforgettable experience white water rafting! Highly recommend!

We checked in early after driving from Llanos de Cortez waterfall and were greeted immediately. Daniel was really helpful in getting us into Eco Termales hot springs outside of their normal window of letting guests in(it generally only has two times where they allow entry). We explained we wanted somewhere a bit more quiet(no kids, aka not Baldi) and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to an almost empty resort. Overall EVERYONE here on the staff was extremely kind and helpful. I definitely recommend staying here. The room was clean and we had a nice turndown service. Im not sure if you can throw the tp in the toilette(but I did, as I did not see a sign saying otherwise like most places here in costa as an American its kind of force of habit). Get a treatment in the spa! Yolanda was INCREDIBLE! There is also A/C and I can tell you that it definitely works extremely well!

First impression was a “over the top” friendly young man, offering free drinks while taking us to the room. It smelled very bad (from like a water damaged ) and it took som persistence to get a new one. The ladies in the receptions were very helpful, though. All the “men” employed in reception seemed to be eager to play the role of a “smart, outgoing cool dude” rather than sorting out problems. Well, we got a room with only a bit of bad smell. The compound has a mix of typical hostel flavour with the ambition to be a resort. Got an infection, from the hot pool (needed treatment) so you might want to stay out of that. Breakfast at the restaurant is 7 dollar a head and for what you get, that is an ok price. Beside breakfast - choose one of the many other places to eat in the town (there are so many, La Fortuna is very turistical
