Was cool to walk to the river and swim in that crazy blue water. LOTS of wildlife. You're IN the forest. Bugs, coati, birds... People are SO nice. Breakfast was good. Location is very good. Hotel is cool, nice, clean...

We really enjoyed our two night stay at Hotel Rio Celeste Hideaway. The staff and service was fabulous. We really enjoyed the breakfast each morning. We ate at the restaurant one evening. I was great but a little bit expensive. The balcony looking out into the jungle was amazing and we really enjoyed the outdoor shower.

Check in was a breeze, staff was friendly and the stay felt very personalized. The rooms were big and clean. Resort is close to Tenorio Volcano National Park. There really isn't much around the area, so you stay at the resort most of the time. Pool and hot tubs were nice, with a walk-up bar. Restaurant had good food and free breakfast. The highlight of the resort is the private trail that leads to Rio Celeste. The trail is kept very clean and it is not strenuous at all. Take in all the nature, see some animals (monkeys, birds mostly), and the trail leads to a private deck and area to swim. It is very relaxing and beautiful. I did the trail 2 days in a row. Would highly recommend the resort if you want to stay in the area, but be aware that transportation will cost you extra.

Loved everything about this hotel. The only thing was our room was stinky from the humidity. Like mold stink. But service was great. Property is beyond beautiful. And they have the best dog there that followed us down the river trail and my kids named him Larry :) hotel people. Please make sure you feed this dog. He is the best. We would defiantly come back soon.

Beautiful setting, each cabin has total privacy. Too bad the weather did not cooperate, but understandable because of the location.

If you want to stay secluded in the middle of nowhere this is your spot. Very quiet resort to sit back and enjoy nature and relax in a romantic little spot in the middle of the rainforest within walking distance to rio Celeste. We saw howler monkeys in the trees over our room. breakfast was good but my my friend got sick from something she ate. If it tastes weird don't eat it.

Gorgeous hotel tucked away in the rainforest. Each room is an individual bungalow, and there's an easy path to the Rio Celeste behind the hotel. Tenorio National Park won't let you swim, but Rio Celeste Hideaway will! Will absolutely be back, we loved our stay here.

What an incredible place, truly a one of a kind. I can't wait to go nack. The only drawback was the dinners, it's was only "fair". It's disappointing to get a $28 steak that's tough and bland. But that would not keep us from going back at all. Just don't go there thinking you'll have a gourmet dinner.

Hotel in the middle of the mountain in touch with nature. Access to light blue river. Amazing food.

We love this place! It does require a 45 minute ride with a 4x4 vehicle (they call it the "Costa Rican Massage"), but once you get there it is incredibly beautiful. The staff welcomed us at the front door with a delicious fruit drink and it just kept getting better from there. They have carved out a little paradise in the middle of the rainforest

Overall fantastic experience, truly in nature with comfort. Fantastic rooms and great food for price. Very secluded so they heavily depend on tours. Drive 5 min from hotel and you find same tours half the price. All tours will require kids to be atleat 8-10. Not much to do with toddlers other the walks in beautiful forest.

Great out of the way location with nice big rooms and great outdoor shower. Rooms are very damp and have mildew growing all over so everything in my bag smelled after we left. Hike was fun and we also did tubing which was great. Would be back if they fix the mildew!

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. We stayed for 5 nights and had diner at the hotel every night and the food was amazing. The only downside was the location, we had to drive at leat 1.5h to get to other locations and the road was very "Costa Rican".
