It is a beautiful property with many things to enjoy without leaving. I really appreciated the Restaurant staff...they took great care of us.

It is a beautiful location and the view is marvellous

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our view of the volcano was incredible in unit 241. Wow! It was far from the common areas such as the pool and breakfast so we had to drive or take the shuttle, which was fine. We loved the pool area!! Our teenage kids even loved it. All different temperatures of water and the swim up. At was great! Kids loved the slides. The breakfast buffet that was included was wonderful. It was an overall great experience!

The room we stayed in was quite large. It had a view of the Arenal Volcano -- but the volcano was covered in clouds our entire stay. We loved the hot springs and the pools. The water slides into the hot springs are all now closed (new law, maybe?) but there are still two operational slides into the swimming pools. The breakfast is really good. It has a lot of variety in terms of traditional Costa Rican options as well as pancakes, toast, breads, cheese, etc. My kids (ages 7 and 9) really enjoyed the little animal exhibits like the turtles and ants. It is a fun place for kids and the staff were all very nice. Our room had the mildew smell that often comes with the territory of being in a humid place. Since the AC shuts off whenever you leave the room, I assume this is the culprit of it. However, once you are there for a but, it isn't noticeable.

Kids loved all the warm pools and slides. The breakfast we’re good as well. Great place for families.

The various thermal pools were amazing, the staff is very friendly, and the amenities were outstanding. The morning buffet breakfast was excellent with a great variety and high quality of food.

Love the hot springs the slides. The breakfast in the morning.

Beautiful place by the volcano. No WiFi in the hotel room. The restaurant in resort is very expensive.

Great staff, amazing views, plenty of activities to do on the resort, close to attractions! Best trip so far!

The place was very pretty. Did not like the fact that the water was either too hot or too cold. They need to make it warm. But it was to the extreme on both sides which I find ridiculous.

Rooms are large, landscaping is beautiful, good variety of pools and hotsprings well maintained. Be prepared to walk alot as the shuttle doesn't always run at 15 minute intervals.

The property has a small atrium with butterflies. Not many but still nice to see for an activity if you are done with your morning activity or waiting for a tour bus to take you somewhere. There is also a small pond which is home to a large crocodile. We saw it asleep on the grass when we arrived on site but another couple told us they did not see it so it may have been resting submerged and out of site. The pool area is great for swimming. There is a large pool with a long slide down but unfortunately was not in service. There is another small pool area with a large volcano fountain for very small children. The third pool is for older children to ride down a slide. The slide speeds up quickly and sends the kids out fast. Good fun. The other area is the heated pool area for relaxing in. Mostly used by adults, there are tables submerged for use to sit at and a nearby bar to purchase drinks from. The gift shop on the property has a lot of souvenirs to purchase items from but can be purchased from other souvenir shops for better prices. There is an observation area on the property but the road to get there is rocky so you will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle or rent a horse to reach it or take a long steep hike. Great view from there though. The rooms are nice but not perfect. The card used to electrically gain access to the room is also used by the door to activate the power plugs, lights, and air conditioning. Our plate broke off and they used some inadequate tape.

Grounds are absolutely beautiful and the pools are awesome, specially for kids. The rooms are a little outdated and Wi-fi is only available in common areas.

The hot springs are fantastic! The animal exhibits were also nice.
