We enjoyed our stay. The villas are great but a bit outdated. Very clean and functional but need some attention. The villas are a good size and shower is large! Only 23 villas so we loved our quiet stay with not many guests around (not a fan of crowds). The highlight is the hot springs for sure. Total luxury. The restaurant was nice. Very basic but also yummy. They could improve on breakfast options. Three choices. I had eggs and toast and my son had pancakes every day (forgot the third option). A bit too blah and it would be nice to rotate options and add more protein. Would recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet.

Everything about this property was great. Beautiful grounds and hot springs. Service was unbelievable and the location was great too!

This place is an amazing getaway from busy city life and perfect to relax and enjoy the wonders of nature.

Beautiful setting, quiet, cool and spacious cabins, great spa.

If you are coming to the area this is absolutely a must stay! The bungalows, the property, the staff, the farm, etc. Everything was top notch! Believe me when I tell you the pictures don't do it justice. P.S. against the hotels wishes we even took Uber the entire stay. Uber is half the price of a taxi and you can use a credit card and save your cash. The only down fall is I think the town only has two Uber drivers. Oh one more thing they don't advertise the farm where they have cows, goats, chickens, ponys, donkeys etc. If you are feeling crazy they even let you milk the cow

very private and quiet. staff is always friendly and helpful!! this was our favorite stay in Costa Rica-spent 4-5 days here

Such a cozy place! Great helpful staff! Beautiful and clean territory . Loved flora and fauna there! We enjoyed our 2 nights there very much! Hot springs are so relaxing .

Staff and service was great. Room was excellent. I loved the complimentary facial for customers visiting more than two nights. It was a refreshing treat.

Beautiful property. Only downside is monstrosity of a hotel next door, but place was great.

Very nice individual cabins and the many hot springs

We could not have asked for a better stay! Hotel property was immaculate and staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Villa was beautiful, quiet, and fit our family of 4 perfectly. Highly recommend!

The staff was friendly and tremendously helpful in connecting us with well led small group tours. The rooms are lovely. And best was that we came back after a day of exploring to private hot springs where we could relax, have a drink, and eat it we liked.

Awesome hotel. I would definitely return. We loved the bungalows and the thermal pools.

We had a great stay! Hot springs pools were a highlight. Cottages were well situated for families & offered plenty of privacy. Agree with others that units away from the parking lot are better. Request unit 11! Staff was very accommodating & helpful suggesting activities.

Great hotel—-near both downtown and the volcano. Grounds and individual cabins are beautiful—-food was good and nice staff. Couldn’t ask for anything better except that the small Christmas tree type lightbulbs mounted up high in the tall cabins did not provide nearly enough light inside the cabin—- impossible to read anything in the dim light.

The have a farm and Alejandro was sweet enough to talk about the farm and introduce us to some of the animals. In addition he took my son on a donkey ride. The staff was really helpful with recommendations . The breakfast was lovely and the waiters were very attentive.

My family stayed at El Silencio for 6 nights. Turns out the hotel was just about equidistant in both directions for all our excursions - which was great for our travel times. The front desk staff - especially Eliomar and Eylin - were always helpful and ready to offer suggestions. (Hey Eliomar!! Thanks again!) The pool bar staff was super friendly and they make great pina coladas (in addition to lots of other options.) The restaurant staff always recognized us on sight and remembered our meal preferences. Overall, you couldn't ask for a more helpful and friendly group of people. Breakfast is included. If you don't like coffee, they also serve hot chocolate and tea. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner. They put out fruit scraps for your bird watching pleasure. Dinner ranged from about $10-$35 and it was delicious. The pool bar also serves food - the burgers were good and my daughter loved the fajitas. We absolutely loved out cabin and the cleaning ladies do an amazing job of keeping the room spotless and comfortable. You get a porch with a small table and 4 chairs too. Keep an eye out for tropical fruit trees all over the grounds! There's starfruit, oranges, limes, cacao, guavas, and more.

We spent 4 nights here and we loved it. The staff was so nice and helpful! Breakfast was great and the wait staff was excellent- so friendly and nice to us every morning. The front desk helped us choose and book three great tours - a private night hike at ecogarden, a hanging bridges tour, and river rafting. We loved the hot springs pools and bar too. The rooms are private bungalows surrounded by lush vegetation. We enjoyed the serenity of a bungalow towards the back of the property. Overall, we really enjoyed this hotel, and we would definelty come back to stay here.

Very clean Staff was friendly, nice, very helpful

We loved our stay at El silencio del campo! our kids 15, 10, & 6 had the time of their lives visiting Costa Rica! This hotel is so enchanting and worth the stay if you are looking for a beautiful and quiet place to stay on vacation. The hot springs were AMAZING--best bang for your buck in La Fortuna. We loved that you can visit with the farm animals that provide fresh milk and eggs to the hotel-so neat :) There are so many things to do in this area! We did rafting the rapids ( which is a must) and a chocolate tour and we went to La Fortuna waterfall which was spectacular to see in person. We would have loved to visit the hanging bridges but did not get a chance on this visit-for sure next time! It rained for the 4 days we were there and it was still an amazing time we had-the only downer was that we couldn't see the whole Arenal volcano - only the base because of the weather-but the beauty all around was unforgettable and the people and staff here were amazing--the hotel even offered to make us sandwiches for the road because we had to leave at 4 am to make it to our next destination-They were so thoughtful and nice! I can't wait to return again!
