Wonderful property with very friendly people. We would stay again.
We had such a wonderful time at Hotel El Silencio del Campo, it's such a special place! We had a beautiful view of the Arenal Volcano, the various thermal hot springs were wonderful, it sometimes felt like we had exclusive use of some of the pools. Pickup and dropoff from various day trips was easy and staff was very helpful in coordinating, plus all of the farm animals were so much fun! We have a 6-year-old child, so this was such a perfect place for our family to stay. It's a smaller resort, so it felt like a very safe and intimate environment. My daughter got to help gather eggs and ride one of the ponies, Taffi. She also loved seeing their pig, Bella, meandering around the hotel grounds. The hotel restaurant had a changing menu for dinner, which was nice for the variety, and they have a little pool with fish in it that kept our daughter nicely occupied while we waited for our meal. Every member of the staff was incredibly hospitable and friendly. And as visitors from Northern California, we were appreciative that the air conditioning units in the rooms were very efficient in this hot, humid climate! I would love to come back here for another visit someday. So many beautiful memories!

Love this property with the farm animals and hot springs to the amazing staff members. Was able to take our dining back to the room. I love the space in the room since we were able to control the temperature. The only down side I can think of is if you are using the hot springs, it is not cleaned out regularly like the other hotels nearby.

This is actually an indictment of Orbitz. After being unable to rent a car and having to change travel plans, they stated they would work with this property to either get a refund or potentially get a credit to come back and try them out in the future. They told me not to "officially cancel the reservation", or contact the property as I was complicating their discussions and to just wait for resolution. Now over 1.5 weeks later, still waiting, still waiting.........
Quiet and secluded. Not too many tourists, very nice
We enjoyed our stay. The villas are great but a bit outdated. Very clean and functional but need some attention. The villas are a good size and shower is large! Only 23 villas so we loved our quiet stay with not many guests around (not a fan of crowds). The highlight is the hot springs for sure. Total luxury. The restaurant was nice. Very basic but also yummy. They could improve on breakfast options. Three choices. I had eggs and toast and my son had pancakes every day (forgot the third option). A bit too blah and it would be nice to rotate options and add more protein. Would recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet.
Everything about this property was great. Beautiful grounds and hot springs. Service was unbelievable and the location was great too!
This place is an amazing getaway from busy city life and perfect to relax and enjoy the wonders of nature.

If you are coming to the area this is absolutely a must stay! The bungalows, the property, the staff, the farm, etc. Everything was top notch! Believe me when I tell you the pictures don't do it justice. P.S. against the hotels wishes we even took Uber the entire stay. Uber is half the price of a taxi and you can use a credit card and save your cash. The only down fall is I think the town only has two Uber drivers. Oh one more thing they don't advertise the farm where they have cows, goats, chickens, ponys, donkeys etc. If you are feeling crazy they even let you milk the cow

Such a cozy place! Great helpful staff! Beautiful and clean territory . Loved flora and fauna there! We enjoyed our 2 nights there very much! Hot springs are so relaxing .
Staff and service was great. Room was excellent. I loved the complimentary facial for customers visiting more than two nights. It was a refreshing treat.
Beautiful property. Only downside is monstrosity of a hotel next door, but place was great.

We could not have asked for a better stay! Hotel property was immaculate and staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Villa was beautiful, quiet, and fit our family of 4 perfectly. Highly recommend!
The staff was friendly and tremendously helpful in connecting us with well led small group tours. The rooms are lovely. And best was that we came back after a day of exploring to private hot springs where we could relax, have a drink, and eat it we liked.
