We just returned - P & B from Tarpon Springs Florida....As a nudist for the last 14 years, this resort possess all the amenities that you can hope for in one place. Angel, Pedro, Aniceto, Gaudino, Ricardo, all have great service experience and show it consistency everyday. Hernan is the new chef and actually cares what the people think. He himself does bring out specialties during the day for some added mouth watering appetizers and deserts. Esperanza and Alberto mix up the best drinks with a smile and always get it just right. I had a deep tissue massage with Dayana on the nude beach and I could not even move when I was done. It was perfect. I thought some changes to the resort this year with more entertainment by the pool, and upgrades on the food, enhanced our stay. I know I will be again at Hidden Beach next June again and hope to see all of my friends there again. I do know there are other nude vacation spots, but none of them stack up to Hidden Beach.
We just returned from another great trip to HBR! As always, the staff were awesome. Angel and Anecito were wonderful, (but we did miss seeing Arnie). Esperanza, Alberto and Pedro kept us well hydrated. The food was even better this time and we loved Mario on the grill. The new head kitchen guy (Herman) was very visible and wanted everyone's opinion. Always lots of fruit available for healthy snacks. Gaby, David and Sandy kept us fit and entertained. Fernanda (Exotic rep) and the office staff did a great job and were very attentive. The new wine/cheese onsite for members' is a great addition. The new Cabaret show was just great as were the Tenors and the Mexican show. Our complaint is the new house red wine is absolutely horrid. And they should not be using a Bailey's substitute at the bar (available in the room, but not the bar). If Bombay, Grey Goose and Chivas is at the bar, Baileys should be as well. Looks like the room prices are going to continue to rise and this resort is never part of the Karisma sales. I hope someone is looking at that because the place had the lowest occupancy we have ever seen in our 6 visits (and we normally go there this time of the year).
We just got back, June 01 to June 08, had a great time as usual. The weather was perfect; I think the best of all five trips. Mid to high 80's, low humidity, and the constant breeze. All the gang was there and just as happy and helpful as always. Espy, Pedro, Alberto, Galdino, Angel, Aniceto, and all the others. Got a new cook/chef, Mario, nice kid, pretty handy around the grill. There are all new wooden beach chairs; I was told there are now enough chairs in total for every single guest. The lack of lounge chairs has been a contentious issue in the past. I counted 60-some wooden chairs, I guess along with the plastic ones in the pool there could have been 84. Some new chairs outside the check-in office, some new plants here and there. A huge new water heater behind the kitchen. I'm guessing it's a high-pressure/high-temp system from the looks of it. And the seaweed. Wow. They hire these kids, day-laborers, who've come in from other states since the harvesting of something-something in their home area is over, to spend the day - ALL day - raking and wheelbarrowing that mess out of there. And it looks like the water is rising; I never saw sand at the base of the seawall. Someone said it was because of how they carved out the beach for the new building and it has disrupted the natural sand flow along the beaches. I’m not so sure since it looked like the swings in front of the new building (sorry, can’t ever keep the names all straight) were also underwater. The palms against the new resort are about tall and thick enough now to block the view from their upper floors - no more gawking. Good wireless Internet connectivity wherever I went. The food was really good as usual (although the shrimp and a lot of the fish was way overcooked in each dish, probably not avoidable considering it's mostly buffet). They are starting to have more "member events", such as the wine and cheese thing they did. Apparently the parent company purchased a vineyard and winery on the west coast. The wines were pretty good, not sure what I'd be willing to pay for them but they were certainly drinkable. If you go to the "Pub", see if you can finagle a sample of the Clase Azul tequila. I'm not a big fan of tequila, but O.M.G. Amazing. I'm sure other people had to be chuckling at me for having my nose shoved so far in that snifter and moaning. ;) We opted for room service the last night. The menu isn’t extravagant, but it was more than adequate. It was served promptly and plenty hot. Absolutely no complaints there. And - of course - the "Update". We haven't been in at least 3 years so we decided to go. More moderately high-pressure sales. It was funny to see the number start at $80k, then quickly to 40, then 20, and after Renee came in and went through his faux "bonding" with us it was down to $10k. Then Renee left, and we told the kid it's still no. Now it's $7500 cash, and they'll give us $2500 "credit", for, something. And they are still building new places. Expecting a (non-CO) resort in Jamaica within 5 years. And something-something on the west coast. No plans for a new Hidden Beach anywhere - unless an awful lot of you go to those "updates". ;) I truly believe all the staff is anxious to help you and take care of things. For example, last year my sandal was coming apart and I asked someone at the check-in desk if they could see if someone in maintenance might have some adhesive that would work. Oh, and we were 15 minutes from our shuttle to the airport. A maintenance guy showed up, took my shoe and went flying down the sidewalk to his workshop (I presume). Five minutes later he’s back with some caulking or something on it, tells me to keep pressure on it, and didn’t want to take a tip for his work. He could have easily just said they had nothing that would have worked and I wouldn’t have questioned it. But even though he wasn’t responsible for direct customer care and interaction, he put forth 100% and helped me out – a lot. Anyway, we’ll be back for our sixth trip next year and we look forward to seeing a lot of familiar and friendly faces.
Another great visit for a deep tissue massage at the Naay spa. Karen has done another great job. I highly recommend her if you want an awesome massage 😘😁Absolutely the best ever👍🏼 ❤️ The facility’s and service are really nice and well maintained. Always ask for Karen if she is available, she is top notch, the best. ❤️
It is an absolutely wonderful relaxing place and truly clothing optional - one can keep clothes on whenever, or the opposite, totally relaxed, and never any stupidity. The staff is fantastic, always there year to year and they seem to remember almost all the guests. This makes a huge difference, it is like going back home. They work so hard, they are always super nice, and they seem to understand that we also work hard normally and need to relax. The waiters are wonderful! (Anachito, Angel, Alberto and Esperanza, plus the new ones: Ivan(?), and two others whose name escapes me). Must mention Sandy and Gaby, the fitness/entertainment, as they were superb. WE also went a lot to the gyms next door - the one at El Dorado Seaside is gorgeous. The one at Sensimar had the best fitness instructor ever, Saran (?), who truly gave us a custom fun time! Keep up the good work!
Enjoyed a great vacation at this beautiful resort where you could just relax or participate in the many activities. The food was outstanding and the presentation was 5-star! Every Staff Member is pleasant, helpful, and go out of their way to ensure your stay is phenomenal.
Come with just a carry-on and only a couple of outfits to go next door to eat! It's all you'll need. Staff is wonderful and food is great. You could not want anything more. We really enjoyed meeting many new couples this time and two of them are planning to meet up with us again next year! This is such a great place to meet new friends. We took friends and they enjoyed it as well.
We had the time of our lives. Meet some new good friends, saw some old friends. Played all kinds of games around the pool and at moonlight bar. Great food, already plan on going back next year. Thank you to the staff for making us feel so welcome.
This was our second visit and once again, we very much enjoyed ourselves. The staff, the property, and food are excellent. Everyone is friendly and ready to help. The kitchen staff is amazingly accommodating and bends over backwards to prepare what you want how you want it. The grounds are beautiful and impeccably manicured, and everything everywhere is tip top clean. Note - Although you have a beautiful ocean view, this is not a property that has a beach. As long as you're prepared for this, it's not a problem. There are a few negatives that we experienced this time, however, which is why the 4 instead of 5-star rating There were not enough chaise lounges and umbrellas by the pool and people were getting up and staking out lounges already around 6 a.m. and by 7 a.m., only full sun chaise lounges were available. Last year we were pleasantly surprised by how good the house wines were, This year they were, in one word, awful.
Our 3rd time to Hidden and it did not disappoint. As always our favorite bartenders, Alberto and Pedro were on point. Love you Pedro! The food is excellent and the wait staff always remembers what you like. Kudos to Angel and Arnulfo for always being friendly, funny and welcoming. The entertainment staff was great! Sexy Jackie, Sandy and Gabby did a great job of keeping us laughing and entertained. We will return to see everyone again!
