Desk clerk upon check in double charge for room. Tried to correct it but charged again for the “refund”. Elevator had a horrible smell so took stairs all weekend. Stairs had an odor also but didn’t feel trapped. Tried on Saturday to charge me for room again. Spoke with different desk clerk who couldn’t do anything because her computer didn’t show charge but I could show my online banking. The multiple charges trigger fraud alert on my card and froze it for a holiday weekend. It’s currently still frozen. Would not give me itemized bill at first. I couldn’t go elsewhere cause they had messed up my card.

The property was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. We all slept very well even though you could hear the highway from our room. The room was nice and dark at night. Breakfast had various options and there was a staff member who was helpful when things ran out.

Staff was fine. Room was well worn. Needs more lighting in parking lots. Food was not good, poor selection & quality.

It was about what I expected for a La Quinta. Most of the staff was friendly. But we saw a family get complained to by a staff member and a guest at different times because they were talking to each other at breakfast and a kid ran down the hallway at 8pm. I guess kids aren't welcome here.

This was an excellent stay stayed here a few times because my son lives in the area. The staff was great the keys worked all the time the pool was great. I will stay here again. The laundry facilities was not working but that doesn’t take away from the stay.

The door to my room barely closed. There was about an inch gap and I’m confident if someone pushed on the door it’d open right up. I didn’t feel too safe sleeping overnight.

Liked they were pet friendly. Carpet in the room was old and gross.

There was nobody at the pool which was nice? The hotel is currently under a remodel which we were unaware of. Unfinished everywhere, literally plastic all over the windows so you couldn’t see out, our shower quit working after 2 showers, asked for a rollaway bed and evidently the guy couldn’t find one because we never heard back, The pool chairs are old and breaking thru. Feel like we completely wasted our money on this place.

Location was good. Love how easy it was to bring our dog with us, and that they kept fresh coffee and ice water in the lobby. Unfortunately, I was frustrated to have to hunt down a front desk associate for at least 10 minutes in order to check in, at 3 pm, after an 11 hour drive. Additionally, I know the hotel was under construction during a busy holiday weekend, but our room never should have been booked in its condition. Our door didn’t lock, and maintenance had to come fix it. We had no phone, no closet or hangers for clothes, no hair dryer, a half empty bottle of shampoo, unfinished tile work, baseboards, door framing, and the window was covered in construction plastic so that we couldn’t see out. A good management decision would have been to hold off reserving rooms until remodeling them was complete, because the cleanliness and amenities were not up to my standards. This is the first time I’ve had a negative experience at La Quinta in several years. I think that with proper staffing and a finished remodel, this location will improve, but I was disappointed this time. I would have paid more to book a different hotel if I’d known the condition our room would be in. Also, I would love to see La Quinta take some initiative on environmental concerns, and switch to paper instead of styrofoam serving products at breakfast.

ORBITZ: you should say on your site when a facility is under construction!!. Yuck. I hate staying in hotels that have construction going on. When I booked the room I had requested which side of the building and which side of hall I wanted to be on, but the facility staff booked me on the exact opposite of what I'd requested (the south side has interstate traffic noise, the west side has bright spotlights shining on the windows--west is the side you see in the picture). When I complained they moved me but still not where I wanted to be, not the type of room I booked. Even though I booked weeks in advance they would not honor my request because I might have cancelled. What??? So what? You do allow me to cancel, that was a part of the booking--free cancellation up till the day prior. That doesn't even make logical sense to me. But, the staff is nice. However, I just don't like to go to breakfast and see the staff eating off the line as if they were a paying guest. If they're going to allow staff free dining they should do it before the guest breakfast hour begins,or after. As I write this, I feel badly for doing so because the day staff and the breakfast lady are just so darned nice! They are really sweet. If it hadn't have been for the re-construction and the booking mixup everything would have been fine as it usually is.

Hi Michael, I am aware you were part of the family that we had to discuss the kids running and screaming in the breakfast area. We are sorry we had to address this concern, however we had other guests that were not as tolerant and complained about the kids. We do have common noise restrictions that we have to adhere by for the respect of others. We hope you come see us again.
