Drury is an outstanding hotel chain. We have stayed at many Drury's and this one is also as great as the others. Wonderful friendly staff, super clean, a good breakfast with a dinner also included what more could you want. The happy hour bartender was outstanding as was the desk clerk when we arrived. Will always try and stay at a Drury when we need a hotel. Exiting from this hotel to the interstate is also very convenient!
You can't go wrong with Drury Inn. Kickback (dinner) available daily from 5:30-7 pm. Also included is each adult receives up to 3 adult beverages, popcorn, soda, and full hot breakfast served every morning. Friendly hosts, spacious rooms, hot shower, clean pool, and relaxing hot tub! We are never disappointed when we choose Drury.
My husband and I took a Christmas bus tour this November. We were 48 in our group. We visited Pigeon Forge, Nashville, Memphis and Branson. This hotel was one of our stays. We had stayed on the Drury Inn in Champaign, Illinois, and in Memphis, Tenn., so we knew this was a wonderful hotel. Free buffet breakfast in the morning and "kick-back" free dinner in the evening with 3 free drinks. The rooms are so large, clean, and the staff are friendly and so helpful. Again, thank you Drury Inns, my husband and I want to stay at a Drury Inn when we travel through the States.
My wife and I are still here until tomorrow, but I felt that I should post this review now to let other travelers know of our current experience at the Drury Inn Blue Springs/independence. It started out bad from the get go, our room was on the 2nd floor and within 5 minutes my wife had a sneezing fit due to this pet friendly hotel. The staff who were pleasant mentioned that the lower rooms are usually were they place people with pets so they promptly moved us to a higher floor. Straight up the room was small very small Super 8 has more room! I did like the walk in shower, but there was no HBO or anything that would warrant $130 a night. To top things off both nights of our stay they ran out of food. Take my word for it, Embassy Suites are far superior for the money. Drury is slipping to the point I will not stay at one ever again.
Upon check-in the desk clerk was polite and professional and greeted us enthusiastically. The hotel and our room were spotless and relaxing. The laundry area was also clean and quiet. Breakfast was included along with their 5:30-7pm Kickback which was basically a buffet dinner. How can you beat those amenities.
My wife and I stayed at the Drury Inn near KC this weekend. It was a very nice hotel with good (FREE) food and comfortable accommodations. We would recommend it to anyone and we plan to stay there whenever we are in the KC area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Next time hopefully we will be able to check out the pool and hot tub. Very easy to find.
This was my second stay at this inn. Debbie, Faye, and Karen were excellent on the front desk. They truly made you feel the appreciated your staying there. They rooms are clean, large, and quiet. My only disappointment was breakfast. I did not feel it was as good as the first time I stayed there in July.
We always try stay at this Drury Inn when we are in Kansas City because we love the rooms and staff. The rooms are always nice and clean. The staff will go out of their way to help you. The parking lot is currently being repaired and the staff was helping people find parking spots. We love talking to the staff when we stay here. We catch up on their families and what is going on in their lives. It is amazing that they have staff that have been working at this location for probably five years. I would highly recommend staying here.
Always have a great stay, rooms are clean, breakfast is better than most hotels. Specifically this location is very nice, and well located. My only issue is the rooms facing the highway - you can hear the typical highway noises.
Hotel was very clean, modern, and updated. Handy location. Bathrooms were very nice. Microwave and mini fridge in room. Breakfast (6-9:30 am): Oatmeal and cold cereal bar, juices, milk, coffee, tea, cocoa, pastries, bagels, breads, eggs, potatoes, waffles, fruit, biscuits and gravy. Social hour (5:30-7 pm): Taco bar with rice, black beans, tortillas, ground beef, sour cream, salsa, jalapeños, baked potato bar, salad bar, nacho bar, chili, hot dogs with all the fixings. Soda fountain and 3 free alcohol drinks each night. Popcorn in lobby. Downside: Bedding could be softer. Pool and hot tub were small.
