I was concerned when we pulled into the parking lot, this is an older motel and the outside is definately showing wear. We arrived earlier than planned , but the owners were so very nice and said to give them about 30mins and our room would be ready. Surprised at the room, it was newly renovated , big, clean and a/c worked great. Also, they didn't gouge us by upping the room price during the night before the eclipse.( many other motels were charging up to $500) One thing I noticed though was you really had to shut the door hard in order for it to close.
If you are traveling I-70 this Econo Lodge is a good place to spend the night. It is just off I-70 and there is a variety of restaurants and gas stations nearby, as well as a super Walmart. All the rooms have been completely remodeled and upgraded in the last year. The rooms are large, comfortable and well appointed. The renovation continues and the parking is being improved now with exterior upgrades in planning. Another advantage, for those of us who travel with our pets, it is pet friendly with only a small charge. It is run by the owner who is always welcoming, friendly and helpful. Going east or west this is always where I stay.
My latest stay here was 4/28/17 this motel over the past 3 years has always been exceptional. The guy that owns this motel very courteous and will stand around and just talk to you without no hesitation. This is my kinda of place he remembers you from previous stays which says a lot that he appreciates your business. Has truck parking located across street from Walmart and right down the road from Petro. Tv channels are very good and ac works great it keeps running not like one of those Samsung you see in a lot of motel runs for a sec than shuts off those are flat out junk. I give this motel a 10!!! for the simple fact this guy appreciates your business unlike some that your a face with a credit card 💳 lol. Will be returning this week to stay.
I'm not a fussy person and stay in budget hotels ALL THE TIME. That being said, this hotel stands out and not in a good way...It is being renovated, which is fine as I'm glad they are improving the property. Hopefully they make it to the outside of the building soon. The walls, floors, stairs and carpets and hallways are all heavily stained. We had two rooms on the second floor (218/220 I believe) which were remodeled but already showing disrepair and a layer of grime. The faucet in my room shook back and forth on the sink and the room could have been cleaned better. The other room's water pressure was so bad the shower spray dribbled down the wall. So my mom took a bath instead. If they don't take care of the small issues, before long the cost of the remodel will be for naught as it will be in poor service and dirty once again. Check in was a hassle. Neither room key worked and when I went down the clerk reprogrammed them. Still didn't work. Mind you, it's cold outside and all five kids and my mom are waiting there with our luggage and I'm going back and forth. The second time the keys don't work the clerk reprograms them and then in a bit of a huff, head's upstairs to "show me how to use them" seeming a bit smug when they worked. Seriously? I travel cross country, on average twice a year. I know how to use a room card key! On a positive note, the area is right off the highway, has a Walmart across the street, gas station on the corner and a few fast food places nearby. I passed on breakfast, which was almost nonexistent.
We checked in here yesterday and decided to stay a second night The hotel is under renovation. Our room has been remodeled Nice comfortable king size bed with fluffy pillows Bathroom very clean with fully linens lots of hot water and good water pressure Rooms are very big with lots of room Microwave, fridge flat screen tv with good selection of channels to choose from They have a good breakfast that consists of biscuits gravy, hash browns, pancakes, fresh fruit, pastries, juice, milk, coffee, bagels, toast and cold cereal They have big truck / RV parking Pet friendly ($10 pet fee per pet) The owners are very friendly and accommodating You can even use their industrial laundry for a small fee We will tell all our driver friends about this place A good value We will for sure stop in again when in the area
It looks like a typical 2-story budget motel, but inside it's new. My room was just like the picture on their site, and apparently all the rooms are like that. Clean, fresh, new, high quality plumbing fixtures, everything working perfectly. The work desk was good, outlets for chargers underneath, and an adjustable height office chair. The wifi was as fast as my home network. The parking area in front was as brightly lit as daylight. The owner was very pleasant. This is the best motel for the money that I have ever stayed in. The breakfast was biscuits and gravy, shredded potato cakes, and pancakes, a little heavy for me. They should add bananas and dry cereals.
We have stayed here off and on for years. They have done some remodeling the beds are very comfortable and rooms are very clean. We like the fact it's close to everything we need while staying. Rooms have flat screens, refrigerators and microwave. The staff I'd very friendly and helpful.
We thought we would get a safe, clean room for the night. What we had was a beautifully appointed, newly decorated room that was on par with rooms for twice the price. This was a wonderful surprize!! The folks at the front desk couldn't have been nicer. The outside of the hotel does not reflect the quality of the rooms!! Don't be put off by the dated exterior, look inside.
We tried multiple hotels before finding a room at this one. My 9 year old got locked in the bathroom, the door wouldn't unlock. It took several minutes to get her out. We had to tape the latch (and thus could not keep the door fully closed) to not lock ourselves into the bathroom. The door to the room had the opposite problem, and it was difficult to get it latched and locked! The shower had zero water pressure, even during off-peak hours. The in-room microwave didn't work. The shower was filthy. I did not let the kids use it. And when I went to check out, there was a child "working" at the front desk, no adult available to complain to.
For starters my room smelled moldy and nasty! Went to turn on the a.c. and there was dead June bugs laying on it as well from the front door of the building up to the room. The door to the room had an 1" gap or so that i filled with wirh a towel so more bugs could get in...The linoleum floors felt like they haven't been mopped in quite some time. The breakfast area had no a.c.and was filthy. To be honest the only clean area was the front desk... Just an overall horrible place to lay over for the night. Wouldn't recommend my dog to stay at this place... if they had a lower rating I would give it to this place...
