Used the hotel to stay the night before my departure. Easy check in and check out. Bring a washcloth. Does not come standard in the room. When I asked for one at the desk, they did not have them available. Minor inconvenience, but did not distract from the good night sleep.
The 197 (?) bus from the airport stops at the Riksmuseum, which is about 2 blocks away. Food and beverages were reasonably priced, and the room was nice. Only complaints were that I didn't find a way to get in without hauling luggage up 6 steps, and the air conditioning didn't work, even though the ...
There were 2 twin beds pushed together in my room, they would slide and separate while I tried to sleep. There was a desk and a chair and a smaller flat screen TV along with a dresser and a small cabinet. Linens were clean, the room was clean. The bathroom was not something I was used to seeing. ...

Great hotel Close to everything (museums, red-light district, new market)
We had a hard time finding a room for a family of five, but the Hampton in Amsterdam was one of the few hotels that offered a large room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. The room was very clean with a nice view of the courtyard at the front of the hotel. The bathroom was a standard size but it was very bright and the water pressure for the shower was perfect. The free buffet style breakfast included eggs, sausage, bacon, made to order waffles, breads, cheeses, cold cuts, fruit and pastries. Coffee, milk and juice is also included. The large comfortable area for eating breakfast is very busy in the morning. In the room you find a small safe, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and a flat screen TV with many international channels.
nice place, reasonable...away from the city center...but we knew rhat and worked around it...it was close to the trains, which we used.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is great, near tram stops and the museum district. Free coffee 24/7. No complaints. I would stay there again.
