This place is nasty and they have roaches and bed bugs

The good- beds were okay and clean, water pressure was very good and hot but that’s about it. Paid for an”upgraded” room which was not worth it IMO. Bed and pillows were supposed to be upgraded and if they were I’d hate to see the standard. Hotel has been under construction for years! The new part is already dirty and run down while other parts were closed. Ice machine, vending machine, coffee machine out of order. Room full of “bandaid fixes” was only there for two nights while working so it was tolerable since the air worked, water was hot, and bed could have been worse. Staff was nice. Stayed here a few years ago when the renovation started I guess, idk, and it was much nicer then. I wouldn’t bring my family or wife! It is convenient to Walmart and restaurants and such.

Rooms were outdated and dirty. Smelt like dog. Breakfast was very poor, the muffins and breads were very stale and hard. Also woke at 6am to the staff talking loudly to a guest right outside our room, which went on for a while. I usually like Red Roof, but not this one.

The friendly staff!!! Our room was very comfortable and we felt at home. Can’t wait to visit again.

Overall, the room was nice. You can tell that the main areas of the hotel have been updated recently and they touched up some of the rooms and overall it was a nice stay. The breakfast was awesome and they offered blueberry waffles-yum! We were even allowed to check in early and check out late which was a plus. However the day after we left, we heard from locals that there was an unsettling incident at that same hotel that ended up on the news!! The price was perfect and I would stay there again, but perhaps on a different floor.

Met every need, I needed during my stay. I loved that places to eat all in walking distance.

They had a wonderful breakfast bar all one could want. Nice clean rooms freshly painted, if there was any draw backs was it had changed owner and remodeling was going on and the place smelt like paint. The beds were extra soft over it was worth the cost.

I had used this brand hotel 5 times in a row prior to this stay, all had been in different parts of the country, and I thought that I found a company with consistent good standards. I was wrong, this last stay was in a building very aged and neglected without refits. The bathroom and bed had hairs that weren't mine, the tv was an old tube tv with lines across screen, so glad that the internet worked. I was traveling so only had 7 hour stay, but that sleep was cut short by noisy fridge (had to unplug) and leaky toilet, that had to top off every 30 minutes or so. I booked in advance and saved a few dollars, but won't make that mistake again.

After finally getting a room that had a door lock that worked, I was able to get settled in. The card key to the first room did not work. That meant another trip downstairs, to the front desk. I was given card keys to another room. They did not work, either. The front desk person, went to the second room, and tried for more than three minutes to get the door to unlock. So, back to the front desk, for another set of card keys, to a third room. Finally, on the third round, I got a room with a door, that had a working card key lock. This proved to be very annoying to me, as well as to the front desk person. But other than that, my stay was not bad. Would I suggest this hotel to another? Perhaps, I would.

The rooms were nice and the staff was nice. As a place to just lay your head at night it was great

We had a conference to attend. We did not check in until the evening after our dinner conference was over on Friday evening. We found the room just average. Holiday inn and expresses are usually our choice of places to stay. I actually chose it over the Jameson Inn which I am not regretting. We knew people who stayed there and checked out the rooms and it was much nicer. When laying in the bed and looking around there were stains on the picture frames and wall. Just not clean as expected. [...]. Even though we had already paid for Saturday night we decided to head back home and not stay after the conference ended at 9:45.

The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by the free breakfast they served, it was actually a meal. The price was great for the amenities included. I am very particular about where I sleep and I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It would have been nice to have a pool in the Carolina heat.

I chose this hotel based on the Holiday Inn Express brand, assuming that it would be pretty new, affordable, and light on the extras. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed that the rooms all looked like they were very old, had water damage, and in general just needed to be restored. The rooms were clean, and the duvet helped us feel comfortable about the linens being clean. However, the location was tucked away from everything else. I couldn't shake the feeling that it was a nice truck stop, and not a place for the family. Can't beat the price though, and the staff was friendly too.
