Amenities were awful, service was pretty bad and to top it off they tried to double charge me on the room that I’ve already prepaid. Front desk people were rude and incompetent. Instead of fixing the problem they were antagonistic and uncaring. I recommend zero for this place. Stay away!!!

This property is a series of motel-style, single story buildings spread out in a forested area near the Visitor Center. Groceries & post office in the same parking lot as hotel registration. Cafeteria style dining with limited menu good food, separate tavern with outdoor patio & fire pit. Hotel registration needs some IT help, slow & weak internet connection. . All 4 Express checkin stations weren't working.

Well priced rooms. All appliances and utilities worked and were clean. A very comfortable experience for our one night at the Canyon. I found that the wifi was a bit hit or miss but that could be due to either /or my cheap phone/ the remoteness of the area but not a massive issue (my partner had no issues in connectivity ) The supply of coffee and tea pods I find are not as environmentally friendly as the rest of the lodges initiatives as they're not very easily disposed of. But I would gladly book again next time, as the overall service and experience from the lodge and it's dining options was lovely.

I’m writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Yavapai Lodge. Upon arrival, I found the assigned room in an unsanitary state—sticky floors smell of urine, a dirty toilet, and an overall lack of cleanliness that posed serious health concerns. Compounding this, the air conditioning was broken, and the room temperature reached 86°F, making it extremely uncomfortable. Despite reporting the issue, I was told no maintenance staff or alternative rooms were available, forcing me to endure these conditions overnight. The next day, repairs were poorly executed, and the room remained filthy and overheated. Only after a technician confirmed the AC was beyond repair did the front desk suddenly offer a nearby room—contradicting their earlier claim of no availability. Even the new room failed to meet basic standards, and when I raised these concerns at checkout, the staff responded with rudeness and deflection. This experience was distressing and unacceptable, reflecting serious failures in both cleanliness and customer service.

Rooms were old and dated. Property surrounding was really nice in wooded area. Maybe needs more lighting to find rooms. It was rustic but pleasant and only used the room for sleeping.

The accommodations were great nicely priced compared to the ones right on the canyon rim. The dining hall was tremendous. The elk meatloaf was to die for. Staff was overly friendly and it was just a great time.

It’s an old hotel. Bedding made us itchy. Bathroom and towels all very old. Extremely dark around the building. We had hard time to find the building at 8pm. Check in experience is sucks. We arrived around 2pm. It’s in a low season and the staff here said she will let us check in now if we are willing to pay $20 extra. It’s just annoying.
