Grand Canyon Railway Hotel

The hotel was beautiful and located conveniently right next to the downtown area. For what we got, the room was wildly overpriced. The room was pretty standard. The indoor pool was freezing. We were very disappointed because we were expecting so much more. The worst part of the stay was the buffet. It was over $25 per person and the food was less than tv-dinner quality. It was a huge rip off. Overall, we love Williams and would visit again but we would not stay here. It was a major disappointment and a waste of money.

Very disappointed in parking situation. They were paving the lot adjacent to our room and other parking spaces were limited. While I enjoy walking I didn't expect this inconvenience. Maid service was disappointing as dirty cups were left behind and beds not made up properly. Otherwise it was an enjoyable stay.

We stayed there only one night but we were surprised how clean and beautiful this hotel was.

Lobby area was nice, but pool was dirty. Room was overpriced for what you got.

Very smart front desk , knowledgeable personnel and easy to talk to. My reservation was messed up by U.S. PARKS but they realized the error and fixed it ,before we arrived

The hotel is very nice - except for the maze of hallways. The staff was fantastic. The only thing wrong was the shower didn't work properly. Most of the water came out of the faucet and only a sprinkle came out of the shower head.

Very good in close proximity to the town. Very nice room clean and hotel had great amenities. Thought the price was a bit much considering no microwave or fridge for $180.00 Will be staying in the Grand Canyon from n ow on price the same more amenities in room.

Stayed one night before driving the last hour to Grand Canyon, nice room, great staff, clean, only negative thing about the area is gas is 50 cents higher than everywhere else so fill up before you hit Williams, AZ.

Hotel was very clean. Lobby area is nice with comfortable couches. Rooms were a bit dated but very clean and comfortable. Dinner buffet looked like your basic buffet food. Opted to eat elsewhere. Surprised that they required my paid third party reservation receipt to check in. Fortunately I had printed it out and brought it. Overall, it was better than I expected. It is not a swanky high end hotel but it is one that I would feel comfortable recommending.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Surprisingly, our room was located near the railroad and it was very quiet. Breakfast was available at the railroad cafe for a reasonable price. Everything in the buffet you can image. Along with made to order egg omelets. Plenty of dining options within walking distance of the hotel. Also, plenty of parking space available. Pet hotel available if you had pets and wanted to ride the train to the Grand Canyon.

There is absolutely no name of the hotel at the premises. If you didn't have the address you would never find it. The buffet there was below average and food was almost tasteless. Not the place to eat unless you don't have transportation to go elsewhere.

The hotel staff were friendly and placed both rooms next to each other. The amenities were average. It was nice to have a cafe/restaurant nearby. We liked the atmosphere and the coach rides offered with entertainment. We also liked the convenience of getting on the Grand Canyon train ride. The family had a nice time however didn't stay at the hotel too long to enjoy everything, it was all about the train and the Grand Canyon!

We stayed in Williams and took the Grand Canyon Railway to the Grand Canyon. 2 1/2 hours there and back with entertainment on the train. It was a great time. Williams is a fun town with gunfights in the streets. The hotel was across the parking lot from the depot. The service at the hotel bar was not the best. Requested a working remote for tv but not such luck.

I went to the grand canyon and attended a motorcycle rally. Free wifi would have been nice.

We stayed one night at the Hotel. It was my daughter's and my first time to Williams, in fact to the USA. The hotel was PERFECT! We had adjoining rooms as we were traveling with an Amercian friend of mine. It was snowing when we got there and the rooms were lovely and warm. The whole Hotel setting and staff could not have been any better!

This is a great location for the train ride, jeep tours. Hotel was clean and the room was a good size.

We did not spend a whole lot of time at the hotel except for resting after spending time at the Grand Canyon. This hotel is about 45-60 minutes from the Grand Canyon National Park entrance. The pool was small but it was enough to relax after the long days. There is also a very nice mini gym but I doubt it gets used much since walking in the Grand Canyon is in itself a good exercise.

The hotel was in a great location. The people were very friendly. I cant wait to revisit the town of Williams, Az. again.

We traveled to Williams to enjoy a peaceful vacation and we were not disappointed. The location of the grandcanyon railway hotel is a perfect base for visiting the grand canyon and other attractions in the area. everything we wanted to do was well within driving distance and we even found time to relax in Spencers Pub (awesome service and atmosphere). The grandcanyon railway cafe also impressed us with their food and service. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Great location. CLEAN! A bit outdated rooms. Overpriced by about 25% compared to similar room at chain business type hotels.
