I guess the only thing that has this hotel going is the lack of competition. Other than that it is still a construction site. Coma insulation between the rooms is absent. You can hear everybody using restroom talking doing whatever in several rooms around you. Bedding sheets are like plastic. Half of the light fixtures don’t work. Air-conditioning is like semi truck running next to your pillow. Everything you find in this hotel is the cheapest cheapest construction quality. I would rather drive 45 miles to page Arizona than stay at this hotel again. And one more thing. There is no Wi-Fi or any cell service in the hotel.
Well if your reading this you probably dont know the only reason to stay here is for yhe convenience of accesd to Lees Ferry rafting launch site. Anyone else is better off driving the extra 30 min to Page. This place is a bare bomes 1960 motel thay would cost $60 anyplace else
The views were exquisite. The bathroom floor wasn't very clean, the tub was rusted around the drain, and while there were grab bars for help around the toilet, it was incredibly low. The toilet seat was only halfway up my calf. That is very low! I recently had a knee replaced, so it made using the toilet quite uncomfortable.
Out of any property I have ever made arrangements to stay with through any service, this one is has the most honest listing. This lodge is not new by any means and if you aren’t comfortable with staying in an older facility you may be disappointed but it’s hard to get a better view of the landscape than staying at Marble Canyon Lodge! We had some issues with our apartment because it was just so hot the swamp cooler could not cool the house but the staff made accommodations and moved us to rooms with air conditioning. The restaurant was one of the best meals we had on our trip. I would stay again and recommend to anyone who’s not interested in fancy hotel but more concerned with an experience and making memories.
Easy and good hotel
We stayed in an apartment that had great views of the surrounding mountains. It was roomy and the main bedroom hand its own toilet and sink. It had a full sized kitchen and a living room where the tv is located. It is old but I don't mind old. The room was not well cleaned though. The sinks had soap scum still on them and the kitchen sink was grimy,. The refrigerator had crumbs in the crisper and the door was dirty. I don't know if this room was an exception, so I can't say all rooms are like this. Maybe it was overlooked, although the sheets were changed and clean.
A nice homey atmosphere.
Stayed here as a stop over before a rafting trip. Clean and convenient. Don’t expect a 5 star hotel resort type of place, but their lodge was actually comfortable and cozy for a one nights stay. Reminds me of my old grandmas house. They got the basic amenities and a convenience store right on site. I would stay here again.
Nice place to stay on way to other places!
nothing to add
It was close to the park entrance. I painted oil paintings during the stay.
very remote . would like ro have more eating options, but no fault of the lodge
Staff was not friendly. Food was ok place was clean but old.
We stayed in cabin #6, which included a kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. Wonderfully spacious. No Wi-fi and internet signal is often weak and slow in this area, which is very remote. Free bags of ice, but you have to go to the office to get them. Everything closes down at 9 pm. Convenience store prices are high. One restaurant nearby. Good food but not great service. Direct TV in room, but no ESPN. I couldn't find any sports channel they subscribe to, but did get CNN. Colorado River is a stone's throw away. Beautiful Vermillion Cliffs within sight. Overall good experience, but missed internet.
Our stay at Marble Canyon Lodge was very pleasant. Marble Canyon is a desolate desert town with nothing miles before and nothing miles after. I don't know if there's anything else except for this motel and the gas station. it's the kind of setting you would find in an old western movie. There's no Wi-Fi in the hotel, but it's very comfortable and clean. There is cable TV. I believe if you are in front of the convenience store you may be able to get 4G if you stretch your hand high enough.
Nice location, better than Page. A/C working well. Room 2 Queen was spacious. Unfortunately no fridge or microwave, would have fit in easily. Two chairs in front of room would be nice, you get only one.
The setting is spectacular, right at the base of the Vermilion Cliffs and a couple of hundred yards from the 89A Bridge over the Colorado. Dramatic views. Overall a great place to stay. It's nothing fancy but certainly well kept and their restaurant is very good. Try the trout.
Colorado River is within a 5-minute walk of Marble Canyon Lodge while other popular sites like Navajo Bridge are within a 15-minute stroll. This 3-star hotel has 50 rooms and welcomes guests with a restaurant, a lazy river, and a conference center.
Sit down for a leisurely bite to eat at the onsite diner, or enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. You can sip a beverage at the coffee shop/cafe.
For entertainment, guests can enjoy cable TV. Bathrooms offer rainfall showers and free toiletries.
Guests of Marble Canyon Lodge enjoy a lazy river, free WiFi in public areas, and a conference center. You'll find RV, bus, and truck parking.
