This was a overnight stay. Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. Friendly staff.

Nice place to stay. Go early to the canyon to miss the crowds.

The people on staff were so helpful and friendly. We had a couple of maintenance and housekeeping issues, and they were answered and fixed immediately. The breakfast was great, and the highlight of breakfast was the ladies who worked in the dining area. They made us feel so special! The only issue I had was that the bathtub should have a rubber mat or some traction strips on the bottom. I had a lot of trouble getting in and out. Overall, a great place to stay!

There are two hotels on this property, we were (thankfully!) assigned to the adults-only building. The other building had the pool but we had a hot tub and enjoyed the quietness of the surrounding guests. Aside from the lousy pillows, our room was extremely comfortable and spacious. We had a suite so we had an extra room with a couch and a refrigerator. Not that we had time to enjoy our room very much, there was too much to see! It was only a few minutes' drive to the gates of the park. Along the way we passed restaurants, places to get groceries, and the IMAX theater (unfortunately, we had no time to go even though we got discount coupons at check-in). The breakfast was really good. There were eggs, biscuits, cereals, yogurts, milks, a pancake maker, etc.. The attendant was great. There was a Keurig in the room as well as coffee all day in the breakfast room. We would stay here again!

We stayed in the smaller, "back section" of the hotel and it was very quiet and convenient to the breakfast and spa.

Beautiful hotel close by the South Rim entrance to the Grand Canyon!! Room was clean and cozy!! Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was always delicious! Thank you ALL!!

Front desk lady who checked us in was nice. The process was quick. We asked for a room on the 3rd floor because we don't like having people above us but we still heard noises like someone was. Overall, the room was clean when we got there. No foul smell like other smaller inns we've been to. The only problem is the ac/heat was not working properly. We put it on low fan and set the thermostat at 68 degrees but it still kept turning on and off as if it was on 'auto'. It was a little noisy for our comfort that's why we didn't really have a good night sleep. The on and off noise of the fan kept waking us up. It takes a long time to turn back on and the room would get warmer than how we wanted it to be. The bed was okay but the pillows are too high it didn't feel right. The breakfast was included in our stay but didn't really meet our expectations. We've been to other locations before but this time we weren't as satisfied. Considering all these, I would give our overall hotel experience a 3.5 because of the cleanliness of the room and the convenient location to the Grand Canyon South Rim.

We rented a vehicle in Phoenix and traveled north to the Grand Canyon area. Locate just a few mile from the park entrance, this hotel was in the perfect location for the price. Pleasant staff that accommodated every guest request I observed. Buses were not running into the park at the time we visited. TIP: For those people that want to view the sunrise it's great, for those that don't, expect a rush at the breakfast an hour after sunrise. It was crazy! The attendants were extremely friendly and helpful. The best breakfast selection of our two week trip. AND for all those that have served our great nation and have a rated disability, be sure to bring your paperwork to the park entrance where you can receive your lifetime pass to National Parks. Easy as pie with the right paperwork. Saves you the $30 entrance fee! We used that several times during this trip. Cheers!

Very good location of 10 minutes driving to Great Canyon visitor center. The room is large and clean. Parking is also convenient. The only poor thing is the breakfast. The breakfast is of few kinds of food. Overall the hotel is good for visiting Grand Canyon.

The hotel was very convenient for our hiking trip to the Grand Canyon. The breakfast area was very large and has plenty of room for large group of guests. We had a group of 18 and we had no problem with any of our rooms and had a great breakfast in a timely manner. Parking was adequate even on a busy night.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, modern and very clean.

Reasonably priced, excellent staff, great breakfast, good location.

Something to look for near the strip Hotel staff is friendly

Visited the Grand Canyon in October. It was mobbed with tourists, but this is probably true most of the year. Hats off to the Holiday Inn Express. The staff handled the mob scene extremely well, especially the free breakfast. I highly recommend getting a top floor room due to the noise, but I'm sure all hotels are like this in the Tusayan area. Anyway, it was a good experience overall. The sheer amazing beauty of the Canyon override any inconvenience you might see with (other) tourists.

The fitness center was closed and the room the pool was in was disgusting. The only positives of the hotel are the location and the staff in the breakfast room. I would never stay there again

solo trip to the grand canyon!

As for the AC unit when you turned the fan on that just circulates the air within the room, that is why it turned on and off making the room stuffy!
