Great location right by the Rim Trail. The shuttle buses in the area are not running due to covid so it was good to be near the trail for an easy walk. The property has a restaurant so we didn't have to go into town for food. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food/service was pretty good. The hotel has 3 floors and no elevator. It's a historic spot and was perfect for one night.

Many people spoke about the property being old. Well, the historical hotel is 150 years old. AMAZING GETAWAY and located right on the rim.

Arrived at night. Wjhat a fabulous surprise to get up early & just step out the side door to see the sunrise over Grand Canyon. A majestic hotel.

Nicest hotel in Grand Canyon Village. Rooms are small but clean. Pleasant stay.

Staff was friendly and helpful - went above and beyond expectations to make our stay special. We brought our family to El Tovar to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. Each member of the staff we had contact with gave us attention and made the day even more special. We had a memorable family event and would recommend the experience of El Tovar to anyone.

Staff was less than helpful in changing reservation dates

This hotel is at the rim of the grand canyon. The desk stsff were very courteous and helpful.

Historic Hotel right on the rim of the Grand Canyon. Good food. Friendly staff. Standard rooms are quite small.

I loved the location. The staff was slow at the reception area.

The entire place is exactly what I was expecting. Historical Beautiful location

It is a National Treasure and deserves the tribute. Needs a bit of redecorating help but we loved it! Right ON the south rim. Couldn't find a better location. Ran outside during drinks to view the outrageous sunset show and came back in to toast the the end of a fab day.

On the rim! History! Fun! Just a great place to stay.

Location is perfect, you walk right out to the south rim and walking path. The hotel is very charming. If you love history you’d love it. We had a standard room with one queen bed, it was very clean and comfortable, but note ... it was small, doors and ceiling is low. We were fine with it, but maybe you won’t be. We drank in the bar and dined in the dining room. Food and drinks were awesome and the servers did a great job.

The rooms are nice. Despite the small size of the room, the close proximity to the rim is fantastic and quite convenient, especially when you want to walk out of bed and see the sunrise over the Grand Canyon! The food at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast is also quite good and with the higher prices. Parking can be difficult as this place is quite popular!
