The location of Maswik Lodge is excellent. You can walk 200 yards to the canyon and trails. The room we were in has not been updated in a very long time. It felt like something out of the 80's. So if all you want to do is sleep this is a viable option. If you're in your room more than just sleeping I would look at the other hotels in the park.

Great location. Newly built building. It was lovely. The only drawback was our room was placed directly across from housekeeping. That was a drag in the morning. Also we had a knock on our door at 820 am by housekeeping on our checkout day. Strange. We let management know.

It’s really close to the Bright Angel trailhead and shuttle bus stops. There is a very nice cafeteria, and it is close to grocery store and walking distance from nice restaurants. It is inside Grand Canyon Nat’l park. There is a fridge but no microwave

It was difficult to navigate to various restaurants in the dark. Paths should either have small lights to assist or advise inexperienced people to bring a flashlight. In addition, dining options disappear rather quickly.

Great location! Walking distance to the rim and other lodges/restaurants. Food court is pretty good and has lots of options. Shuttle stop right in front. Plenty of parking. We stayed in the South section which is new, clean and comfortable! Would stay here again if coming to the Grand Canyon!

While the rooms are dated the whole point is a stay inside the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately they were understaffed and we had to wait until 6pm to check in. The main reason we wanted to stay here is so that when my daughters got tired they could nap and then we could go back out and see more of the canyon. By the time we were able to get to the room everyone was overtired and we were not able to go back out.
