My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Inn - Mall of Georgia during Christmas 2017 when we were visiting family. I stayed there again in late January 2018. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Every single person I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Any question I asked or service I requested was answered with a smile and an immediate response. Housekeeping did a great job, the breakfast every morning was tasty and the counter was kept clean. The front desk was very welcoming every time I walked in the door. It is one thing to say you have good and friendly customer service but to have people actually do it is another thing altogether. Thanks for a great stay. This will always be my choice when I visit the Atlanta area.
From check-in to check-out, the staff was the best part of the stay. Friendly and welcoming. They each made me feel welcomed to be staying at Hampton Inn. Other than a minor issue with towels, the stay was great.
This was the perfect location. It was located in a good area with plenty of access to mall and shopping. Additionally, there were a variety of restaurants in the area which made it easy to accommodate eating.
Last minute booking due to the weather. Very clean and great accommodations. If you’re in need of a great hotel location that is surrounded by superior local food and shops, stay here. Super Clean and Friendly.
No problems with check-in. Lady was very professional at the desk. The room was clean and comfortable with no issues. Nice TV and a great Bathroom. Breakfast was good, great if you consider the price! By that I mean it was included in the cost of the room. The usual selections and all I tried were good. I will stay again when in the area.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this immaculately clean, no smoking hotel. This is definetly our "go to" place when visiting relatives in the Buford area. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Great complimentary Belgian waffles at breakfast too!
First of all I literally watched this hotel being built as my parents lived close by. Unfortunately the furniture and bedding felt and looked like it has never been changed in the intervening years. The footstool was quite frayed for instance and the curtains made the room feel like a cave. The water pressure was slow, the drain slower and the bathroom small. In their defense the room was spotlessly prepared every day. The staff were incredibly welcoming and really worked to enhance your experience. The hotel is close to many eating establishments and the mall. Hampton Inns are usually great but this one is really showing its age. Additionally the breakfasts were pretty bad but the eating area was clean and well attended to. Too many choices in this hotel category so we probably won't be staying there again.
We checked in fine. Wonderful person. Lady who cooked breakfast was so sweet. The cleaning people, gracious. The man at the front desk in the morning, nice. Rooms smelled so sweet and fresh. Parking was easy. Inside elevators. All but one of the employees were great.was great, all EXCEPT Samira Jalaly, Front Desk Manager. In short, I called to ask a question. She answered, but wanted to help me more. It was regarding getting connected to the internet. I told her I used a Mac, not a PC. She wanted to help me anyway. But when I went downstairs, she didn't know anything about Macs. I was going to shut it down and start it again, but wasted the time to go see her. Getting on the elevator, which was down the hall, past another hallway and the exercise room, was the alcove for the elevators. I said to my husband," the man is great, but the lady is a jerk." She was walking by and heard me, stepped into the alcove to question me, to confront me, even though I was only speaking to my husband. Then, she called our room 3 times, saying she isn't a jerk and has never been called a jerk. The third call was to ask us to check out a day early, right then, and she would refund our money, so we did. When I picked up the receipt, she said no one has ever called me a jerk. The 3rd phone call was asking us to leave then and not the next day, and she would return our money if we would leave. I said that shows you are the jerk I thought you were! The hotel and everyone else is great. But if you don't want to get kicked out, don't say anything to your spouse about the front desk manager unless you want to be asked to leave. I know you may think I left something out, but I didn't. She just couldn't let it go. I felt like I was in the middle of a movie of Mean Girls, part 2. With her being the head MEAN GIRL. Remember, I didn't call her a jerk to her face, it was a comment I made to my HUSBAND, FAR FROM THE FRONT DESK, NEVER THINKING SHE WOULD WALK BY AND HEAR ME! As a member of Management,, she needs to grow thicker skin, or get a little deaf. I only said it because she acted like she knew Macs, when she could have just told the truth and she didn't know them. I would have shut my computer off and on. I didn't call her to ask what to do. I called to ask if they had changed the way you get on the internet. I just needed to know I wasn't trying to get in the wrong way. SJE decided she could help me, only to look at the screen and say I don't know anything about Macs. Really, I don't know why I went down there, but I should have said no. Below, I am going to mark MY SCORES WITHOUT INCLUDING HER. Everyone else was so nice. If she had just kept walking and ignored my conversation with my husband, it would have been fine. I never knew she would be going down the hall, so far away from the front desk at that time. It was CRAZY. I'm sorry it happened, but she really needs to develop her management skills.
Initial room keys did not work on morning of second day. We had to go back to the front desk twice for new keys before we could reenter room - 1/2 hour lost. Front desk clerk did not seemingly believe that the check in keys did not work and seemed annoyed that we had to return for new keys.
We were very pleased with the location across from the Mall. The price and value of the room was very reasonable And included breakfast. The staff was extremely accommodating. The room was very comfortable. If I'm ever in that area again I will definetly stay there again.
