Breakers Cay at Grand Lucayan

My hotel room was about 50 feet from the beautiful beach. The hotel room was clean and spacious. The only criticism is that customer service needs to be improved, e.g. whenever I ordered room service, it usually took 1 hour or more for my meal to be delivered to my room. Apart from this, I had a great experience at this hotel.

The day of the checkout which is 11:00 AM i was asking if possible to stay a little longer since my plane was leaving in the evening. Normally this is not a problem of most hotels and since the hotel was almost empty, i was a bit disappointed that any courtesy extension was denied, but i could stay until 3 PM by paying almost a full daily rate, which i declined. The person behind the counter could care less, and i will not care to come back to this hotel.

This was a very nice place to spend with my family. It is mostly older people. The restaurants are nice, and the facilities are clean. The service is good and the people are friendly. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable, and the beach is very nice.

Beautiful quiet beach (except when spring breakers make noise at the bar which is just plain fun) with powder sand that stays cool on your feet. Security is always present. Felt very safe. Locals are nice. Hotel restaurant service (or no service) so slow and expensive for what you get. Airport so close, $22 flat one-way. Sunrises & Sunsets amazing. Can hang out on the beach even at night - it's safely lit. Shopping & restaurants directly across the hotel. Some vendors are aggressive but all good overall.

Was my third time there. Well maintained. Several pools. Bar at the pool.

The hotel was fine. The location is good. The pool and beach areas were very crowded when the day trippers from Florida arrived. The hotel is a little dated and could use a refreshing.

Great location for reasonable price. Hotel is close to the market where all restaurants and shops are, and has its own beach. I didn't have water view but gorgeous sunsets instead.

The room was very comfy and the service was great. Perfect location right across the street from the port. Lot of duty free shopping and great restaurants. We had a little refrig that we kept stocked with cold beverages from the store across the street. They have the best work out facilities - everything you could want. The beach was beautiful and there was plenty of water activities to do. Good time to go - as there wasn't a lot of kids due to school being back in session. Can't wait to go back!

Everything else was OK, but the service was very, very, slow. From Check -in to getting drinks, coffee, etc..... It takes 3-5 times longer then usual.

The hotel is in an excellent location. It was clean and the grounds were well maintained. I look forward to staying there again soon.

The Grand Lucayan has a great location. The serenity pool was closed, they wouldn't permit lawn chairs on the lawn outside the lanai suites, and they didn't honor a quoted phone price for an upgrade. The beach is beautiful. The bartenders, lifeguards and room attendants were friendly and provided a great service.

We were 5 hours to chek in and got to the hotel at 4 pm Employes were in bad mood all the time.auful experience.we live the hotel the day before.

We loved it. The resort was great and every one is very friendly and helpful. It was very relaxing.

We had a great time. Megan at the front desk was awesome as was the Boss Callie. Sheldon was there to bring our bags and pick them up on time. Thank you so much. The D'Annunzio's

The service was overall bad and not what we are used to in the US. They gave us a room not facing the ocean which is not what we paid for. They moved us to the suites afterwards which is suppose to be an upgrade. The bed in the suite was not very steady and making noise every time you move. They left 4 empty glasses near our door for more than 48 hours. They had a sign at the towel hut indicated that it opens at 8:30 AM, but it did not really open until 9:15 to 9:30 AM. They also had no servers to come to the beach and ask for your order and the bartenders were overall unpleasant to say the least. Overall, not recommended.

The entire resort is on the water. No need for a car. Restaurant ,bars and activities are on site or right across the street.

This was supposed to be the nicest hotel on the island. Well, the room was pretty nice, but we had NO hot water. We were only staying one night and discovered this late at night and didn't want to go through a hassle to change rooms, call the desk etc. They apologized in the morning but made no offer to lower the room rate or ANYTHING. Sad but true. Also, we met 2 guests on separate occasions the next morning who had eaten at the Chinese restaurant and said they got sick from the food. We ate there and had no issues. The food was good.

The hotel was very nice and the ocean view from our room was breathtaking. The straw market was located just across the street and they had anything you might need or want. They had many restaurants, rum cocktail bars, grocery store, pharmacy, barber shop and many, many gift shops. The glass bottom boat took us to see sharks and that was real cool. The town of Freeport isn't very big and is somewhat run down but the resorts by the ocean are top notch. I would return there again in a heartbeat.

Very good for the price. Friendly people, very nice beaches. Family friendly. The food was great.

great hotel with great location. only thing that I did not like was there was no mini bar

Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that our location met your expectations. However, it is disappointing to hear that a member of our staff was not as warm and accommodating as we always aim to be.
