We stayed one night in the king jacuzzi room and it was awesome! So good for the price. Basically a full kitchen, jacuzzi surrounded by mirrors, living room with couch, nice bed, everything was great. The staff brought us up some robes and we had a great night in the tub. Good friendly staff and walking distance to everything. Totally worth the money.
Awesome looking Lobby now its time for room to be upgraded. Also I don’t believe the staff vacuums each room on a daily basis. Descent hot breakfast with a bit of variety from day to day. I would stay here again.
I had a very nice stay. Nice and quiet room, clean and modern. Good value for the price, and one of the best deals in Fort St John. The only issues I had during my 3 night stay was being intermittently kicked off the wifi and the service quality (very slow service and unattentive server) at the Mondo restaurant. Outside of that, no problems at all. Very warm and friendly staff at check in. The hotel is convenient to several restaurants. I recommend this hotel to anyone stopping in Fort St John.
In common with other reviewers, for reasons we don’t understand, we noticed that prices in FSJ are about 50% lower than in nearby Dawson Creek. Having looked online at options, we selected the Stonebridge. Reception area has clearly had a makeover, check-in was professional and swift, our room, a two-queen standard, pretty much as advertised. It’s obviously an older building and whilst the size of the corridors on each floor can’t be changed, it looks like lighting and carpeting have both been updated. Inside the room, the furniture is standard, the fridge & microwave both functioned and the bathroom and towels were pretty good for a room at this price as was the soundproofing and blackout. Only quibble really is that one of the beds in our room seemed newish and comfy, the other old, tired and saggy – not sure why that would be. Breakfast is a haphazard affair – hot options were available, but tasted like they had been in the warmer for hours, nothing was replenished whilst we were present. Coffee and juice both ran out long before being replenished, there were no teabags and we have no idea what pastries may have been available earlier but none were left by 8 am. But overall, a good stay as a very reasonable price.
My room was clean. My bed was very comfortable. The hallways were in dire need of a vacuum cleaner. My TV didn't work at first, but the maintenance man fixed the problem with a smile! I would stay here again!
I booked this hotel for the 2019 Fort St. John Summer Speed Skating Camp, as always I never have had any issues with the Stonebridge Hotel, and this time was no different. I liked that it’s walking distance to a few restaurants, the Totem Mall, Safeway & the Pomeroy Sports Centre. It definitely makes my week here easier. Check in was fast efficient and friendly (as the room was already paid for it was easy), the room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed (had no problems sleeping at all during my stay. It was nice to have Wifi (not the fastest but it works), hot breakfast every morning and housekeeping service every day. As it was my first time staying for an extended period I definitely have no problems recommending this hotel to others who need somewhere to stay in Fort St. John. As always a HUGE SHOUTOUT to Roy, who even took time to remember me from my last stay who I had written in a previous review. This awesome employee is always outgoing and doing everything to make your stay more enjoyable I definitely will be back in January for BC Long Track!!
This was our first night lodging on a trip up the Alaska Highway from Edmonton. Hotels in Dawson creek were much more expensive so this fit the bill! We found this place to meet our expectations and front desk was quite friendly and helpful. The restaurant onsite was fine but also lots of other options within walking distance, including a large grocery store.
What a treat! We had been traveling (camping) over 4 weeks in Canada and needed a hotel reset. This was awesome! Service was unexpected at a "value priced" hotel. Roy was the manager and he was truly exceptional. How many front desk personnel call to make sure your room is to your satisfaction? Never had that kind of service. We'll be back....
After having spent a little over a week at this “home away from home”, it gets my best recommendations. Bed, furniture and overall condition is average good, and matches the price. It’s clean and the inclusive breakfast is solid and plentiful. Free coffee and tea in room and lobby, location is very central, close to 100 street, the Main Street of Fort St. John, it is quiet at night and the washroom had bathtub. Above all the staff was extremely helpful and nice people - thank you for making this stay extra enjoyable.
My over night stay at Stonebridge was excellent. The food and front desk service was outstanding. Keep up the excellent service! Enjoyed my stay at the hotel as it was close to the mall and the room was clean and comfortable with an excellent AC.
