Upon check in I was asked to fill out a credit card authorization form on paper. I expressed discomfort in doing so as this carries with it a high likelihood of identity fraud. The person at the front desk went to go ask his manager and came back to tell me that this is the only way as their credit card reader was not working. I was told that I could take the form back at check-out; however, at check-out when I asked for it, I was told I can't get it back b/c they need it in case there was damage to the room . . .
The room itself is a different story. After going to bed at 10pm, I got back up b/c I forgot something and as soon as I turned on the light, a cockroach crawled onto the towel I had next to the bathroom sink. Disgusting. . .I went down and showed them pictures and they moved us to another room. This is the only remedy they offered though, which is not acceptable. I will not be staying here again. I would rather pay a bit more and stay at the Fairfield by Marriott in Rochester.
