I love the hotel it with clean and I felt safe, stores where close by and restaurant, the staff was really good too, thank you for the best stay ever will be going back soon

Dirty outdated. They don’t tell you until you get there its a nightly charge for parking lot security ( that isn’t there every night) but they still charge you. They stopped doing breakfast as well but didn’t lower prices for not having it. It’s a dingy hotel.

Nice facility. Beds and food very good perfect location to my conference

When we stay in a hotel, we don’t really need our room to be cleaned by the housekeeper every day. We often just asked for towels or toiletries only if we ran out of it. I asked the hotel a couple times and with the emphasis that “we had the do not disturb sign therefore, we didn’t have the room clean, can we get some lotion?” That never arrived. I asked for a decaf 20 minutes before the room hours ended at 11pm. We got a knocked on our door around 11:20pm and the lady said, they forgot about the coffee so therefore it’s free. The shower takes a long time to drain so my husband broke one of the hanger and try to unclogged it. That didn’t happen like day before we left so we felt that it was too late to ask for maintenance. The temperature is not evenly distributed throughout the suite so our bedroom is way warmer than the living room. We had to remove some of the bedding and leave the door open. We stayed there for my brothers wedding and when we asked to have some of clothes dry cleaned, they forgot to give us the long sleeved short. We panicked for a little bit since, we don’t have time to get out and buy another one and I was just happy that they eventually found it. Next time we come back to Des Moines, we may not come back to this hotel.

Nice hotel. Large parking lot. It’s obviously still being rennovated but the website warned of that. It will be great when complete.

The process of checking in was long and they charged my card without my authorization the room was prepaid and still tried to charge me twice the left hand does not no what the right is doing. All I got was a sorry and a unwanted headache

After a long day on the road it was a great place to stay. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff.

Excellent location and amenities, there are plenty of restaurants, bars and entertainment near by.

Good value for the location. It isn't next to all the action, but only a short drive away. Staff is helpful and the rooms are clean and tidy.

Stayed here to visit some friends with my 9-month old baby. Room was very clean and easy for baby to move around. She loved the huge windows! My only complaint is that I wish there was a free breakfast!

Ordinarily, I stay at the Embassy Suites downtown when I am in Des Moines for business, however, the Embassy and many of the nicer hotels were sold out for some reason so I stayed at this Sheraton by default. The hotel was average. The location is good, as it is right off I-35 and really close to I-80/I-235. I waited for probably 10 minutes to check in due to a chatty hotel guest in front of me and only one hotel clerk. Once I reached the check-in desk, the clerk was quick and pleasant. The hotel room seemed a bit outdated and there were two large dark stains on the carpet which were a little gross-looking. Beyond the stains on the carpet, the room appeared clean and the bathroom was (thankfully) quite clean. The bed was very comfortable and I was able to get a good night's sleep. I did not use any of the amenities so I cannot comment on those. I did order room service for breakfast and ordered an egg white, cheese, and tomato omelette, which was probably the worst-tasting omelette I've ever had. There were other selections on the menu but I was trying to go for one of the healthier options. It came with fresh fruit and juice which were both fine. Overall, I would probably elect to stay at one of the nicer hotels, such as the Embassy downtown, before I would stay at the Sheraton again, however, it was acceptable for my overnight stay.

I had to leave before they served breakfast. No one at reception when I was trying to check out.

We arrived very late because of flight delays. Our room was ready. They helped us fine a late night place to eat. I was hoping to swim for fitness, but the pool was over crowed with children. Not a problem, but not a good place for adult who wants to swim. Fitness center was also full of kids.

After booking a two-room suite with refrigerator, microwave and fold out couch, My wife and I arrived with our two children and dog for a five night stay to find that the best room available was a single king non-smoking. Apparently they don't guarantee room type. That's the kind of information that would be helpful before a 14-hour ride cross country.

The main issue with our experience was the cleanliness of the room. It smelled like old laundry, and the bathroom towels from the previous guests had not been washed yet. This is the reason for the negative review. I would recommend it based upon location.

Clean, comfortable and convenient. Could have used more overhead lighting in the room entrance. Great to have two TV's. Water apparently leaked from the bathroom onto the carpet BEFORE WE ARRIVED. Not a big deal to me but could cause mold if not quickly corrected.

Perfect location, right off the main roads and we could find everything we needed to find.

Everything was good except the pillows did not support my head. I sank so deep that I woke with a neckache.

The kids really enjoyed it! We would stay there again.
