The property is located right off the highway which made it convenient. It has a wonderful small lake right behind where we could walk the dogs. Staff is friendly. The problem is the first floor has large construction ongoing. This was not mentioned to us as we booked. It also did not have the indoor pool or exercise room availabe the entire time.

My signifant other and I spent the weekend here for an affordable getaway. We especially enjoyed the kitchen in the room and the pool/hot tub area. The weather was nice so we took some walks around the pond. The breakfast was very good. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The laundry facility was free however a few machines were broke down and the elevator is slow. That would be my only complaint, but we will be back!

We have gone here for about 6 or 7 years for our family gathering after Christmas. It is convenient gently located. The staff is always helpful, kind, courteous and make our visit enjoyable. This year, things were a little different for us in that my dad got really sick and eventually passed. We came in a day earlier in the middle of the night and they got us a room and set it up so we didnt have to move. They worked to have family stay in rooms nearby and weather made it such that some had to stay another day. They went out of their way to offer help in any way. When the funeral home didn't have room for the luncheon, I simply asked if we could have it there at the hotel and Jessica and Eric made it happen. It was a beautiful way to honor Dad as everyone was able to eat and converse in the cozy atmosphere. It was just perfect! We always find the staff here to go above and beyond. It is why we keep going. The breakfasts are good and kept stocked. They have evening appetizers and drinks available for guests. One evening, about 10 of us went down and played games by the fireplace. When I left, I said see you next year-Lord willing we will! Our choice hotel.
The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Plenty of room with a couch in the sitting area, counter seating in the small kitchen. We had a great stay. I would recommend the front desk staff be more welcoming as he came from the back room and just stared for several seconds, did not smile. It just felt odd as I am used to staff that is more welcoming. Also ran out of OJ on Sunday morning, but otherwise, a great place to stay. Would recommend to anyone and would stay again.
There was no stay. When we went to check in they said there was no room and they handed us a post it note to call Expedia. We had booked through Orbitz. They said that they couldn't even talk to them. The phone number we called shifted us to someone else who said that the hotel had overbooked. After 15 minutes on the phone they were still looking. No rooms in the metro area. This reflects poorly on Orbitz,Staybridge Suites and somehow Expedia.
Excellent hotel. Well lit parking lot. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was very nice. Above expectations. Breakfast was very nice. We are saving this hotel for the next time we go through Des Moines.
The handicapped room has a tub, which is not very handicap accessible. Requires stepping over the edge of the tub. Thankfully my parents aren't completely handicapped, but it was difficult for them.
Room cleanliness is less than I would expect. Supplying food at receptions is great, but food could be warmer.
overall good location and easy to get around I like having a laundry facility.

The stay went well. The continental breakfast was excellent, and rooms have an apartment feel to them. My only complaint would the dish tv, the signal was not very good.
This place was awesome !!!! Beautiful hotel. Super comfy beds. Nice staff. And even has a lake out back where u can walk to get your exercise. I could go on forever.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. When we realized a studio was too cramped for our needs they put us in a one bedroom suite quickly and that was much better
Had a wonderful stay with great amenities! Our children loved the pool as well as the many options for breakfast! The bed was comfortable and kitchenette was so nice to have for our milk and other necessities with children!
